The food was delicious! I had the filet mignon beef Wellington and my husband had the crusted salmon. Both dishes came with sides and desserts included and it looked amazing and was absolutely delicious. The price per plate, only $55., that’s a bargain these days. The atmosphere of old times mountain house was cozy and comfortable. We were seated in front of the fire place. We’ll definitely be eating there again soon.
This looked to be the best option in the area for fine dining. I was pretty disappointed with the food but the service was excellent. We started with the fried eggs, which were interesting but unremarkable. I was very much looking forward to the butternut squash soup but it was inedible. The double-double cheeseburger. The crunchy, salty fries. Both were excellent. You can’t say the fries were “on the side,” because they stand out. The Cobb salad, tasty. The service, from host to waitress to runner, was first class, essentially very nice people who know what they’re doing (and do it well) and the food they’re serving. If you’re wondering what the kicker is in the chicken pot pie, the server told me. Paprika.
