I ordered a pizza for pickup on-line, The promised ready time was 35-40 minutes. Longer than usual but since it was Halloween, that is somewhat expected. When I arrived, 40 minutes later, I was told that it would be another 35-40 minutes. The guy apologized and said they got "swamped." That is really not a valid excuse. If they got swamped before I ordered, that should have been reflected in the promised ready time. If they got swamped after I ordered, the swamping should not have affected my order. I decided to wait it out, despite the fact that it was really getting too late for us to have dinner. After another 40 minutes I asked about the status and was told it would be ANOTHER 40 minutes. That made it way too late so I had to cancel the order. I had already wasted an hour and a half of my life and wasn't going to waste any more. Who know what would have happened if I waited another 40 minutes? I had no confidence the people running this place had any idea what they were doing. I have been a regular at Sal's for years but it will be a long time before I return.

there is already a tip jar out, … so I really don’t understand & hate these businesses helping employees to ask for a tip when you pay with a debit card, (especially when the employee looks at my receipt before handing it to me me to see if I gave a tip or not)

Bummer we like the pizza and the garlic knots but this maybe our last visit. We went to pick up at 6:45pm (we scheduled our pickup more than an hour in advance). We went to the pick up counter and a gentleman with a goatee asked our name and said that it would be 12 more minutes. We returned after 15 minutes and asked the status. The gentleman with the goatee stated “you will need to wait another 10 minutes”. My husband inquired why and the gentleman with the goatee barked back I do not control the chefs - your pizza could take another 30 minutes and there is nothing you can do about it. We ended up having to wait more than 30 minutes from the promised pick up time. We were not the only one where our pick up was delayed from the agreed upon time. Sad as the food is good but not good enough to go back with the poor customer service.

Good food but totally rude! We came in to order about 15 minutes before closing so we sat down and were asked to leave with a to go box because it’s now after 8. They should’ve mentioned this when we ordered but instead they were rude to us. Sadly last visit to Sal’s. Hopefully ownership sees this!!!
