Rude bartender. My drink has bugs. Mentioned about it and for some reason he snapped like a drunken individual. If you need to hire a different bartender then hire a different one.

Very nasty experience with their male bartender. I've been here before, I thought this place was welcoming until I returned 3 months later with a friend to Fort Bragg. Thanks for ruining my whole trip to Fort Bragg. Please avoid this saloon

Enjoyed the place. Spent 3 nights in town and this was our favorite watering hole. Drinks were good and reasonable priced. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the bartenders were great to chat with. Pool and shuffle board.

My father and I stopped here one night while out along the coast for a fishing trip. Had an amazing time. Made friends, played pool, and swapped stories with the locals. $6 draft beer is also hard to beat.

Golden West Saloon is the oldest operating saloon in Fort Bragg, California. Although there are different stories about when it opened, the building is said to date back to the 1850's. When you walk into this iconic bar, you will see it's beautiful Oak and Birch bar dating back to the late 1800's. With a marvelous selection of Whiskeys, Tequilas, Gins, and spirits, beers, and wines, they have whatever pleases your palate. Pool, shuffleboard, darts and cornhole are all available. Now with live entertainment and DJ's on most weekends it is a local favorite. It is my "go to" place after a long day of hard work. This is definitely a locals bar. Located in the heart of downtown Fort Bragg on Redwood street.

Parking: There is a lot behind the building and street parking in all of downtown.

Rolled into Fort Bragg on a Saturday night. Bar tender was super cool, and some people were very friendly, walking up and sitting next to me just to strike up a conversation. Felt like a good vibe here. Great selection of alcohol.

Great dive bar in Fort Bragg, been there forever. Has a beautiful original wood bar. Good crowd, bar tenders need to breathe when they have more than a few customers. Became quite snippy and unfriendly with the increasing crowd size. Made me a wrong drink and when I tried to ask for it to be fixed, it was snatched from me, tossed down the drain, with a 'we are busy' comment and then I waited another 20 minutes before i could ask them to replace it???They had a DJ which had some people dancing but he didn't read the room right at all. All in all it is a fun bar, of the few that are open past 8/10pm and the drinks are priced right.
