First time coming to this restaurant in Fort Bragg. It was a nice find! Let me share our experience. This was Sunday (4/21/24) evening. We sat towards the back closer to the restrooms.FoodThe food here was good.We ordered a carnitas burrito and a beef milanesa. The carnitas were very tasty. The milanesa was good. Not great. But good. Comes with a salad, rice and beans. It also includes choice of flour or corn tortillas.ServiceNot so good today. Hopefully it was just an “off” day for our server.1. After 20 or so minutes after placing our order, she returned to us and said “I know I took your order, but I just can’t find your ticket”. So we gave her our order again. We knew at that moment our order had never been given to the kitchen. Which meant more waiting while tables seated after us next to our table received their food before us.2. Not attentive at all. Refill of drinks was VERY slow.3. Can be friendlier. All in all, we did like our food but service will need to improve.

this used to be one of our favorite restaurants. we haven't been there for several years . we went back this evening and found all the recipes have been changed and not for the better. I will not go back. I gave it a two star

Want great Mexican food? Go here! The food and drinks are great! Lots of character in a nice atmosphere. Server came fast and I loved everything I had. Tacos, enchiladas, salsa, chips and their margaritas were fantastic.

If i could give this place any lower rating i would. I am full mexican but have light features, blue eyes and dont speak spanish. I have known my whole life what it feels like to be discriminated by my own people but not my wife or kids. We came here on vacation from out of town cause we love fort bragg, we had decided on this restaurant for dinner that night and wish we wouldve completely avoided it. We sat and waited to be seated (no offense ot anyone of any color or race) and we started to notice we were being over looked for white families. My kid asked whats going on and i said we're probably gunna leave if we get overlooked one more time and sure enough we did. I told my daughter this is what happens when people forget where they came from and are money hungry cause they look at our color and automatically think "they dont have money like the other people who are here". She got teary eyed and i hugged her. The hostess seen us getting up and said "your table is ready". My wife speaks ghetto and propper spanish and spanish is her first language, she is also a certified interpreter and she has never discriminated by her own people and i told im used to it so it doesnt bother me but she was visually upset. We got our food and we couldve went to to taco bell and would've had a more authentic feel. We ordered a chicken burrito for one of my kids and it was canned chicke like from costco or sams club. The chile verde i ordered looked canned as well. I could be wrong every cook is different but thats exactly what it looked and tasted like. I went and sat at the bar to get a drink while we waited at the beginning and i got my beer fairly fast, my wife did the same thing but opted for a margarita and the bartender didnt acknowledge her until she said something cause he was too busy talking to one of his coworkers like it was a break. Im all for small business and hole in the wall places but this place was extremely disappointing but most of all upsetting due to my family feeling discriminated by there own people. Dont forget where you come from and remember who you are and dont let the dollar get to you

First time we passed this restaurant, we thought it looked cool and said next time we're in town we should eat here. A month later here we are! I ordered two tacos and a chile relleno and my husband ordered one of the specials which was 3 shrimp tacos with a ton of different sauces. Plus chips and guacamole of course. The chips that come with chips and salsa and the guacamole appear to be home made and are delicious. The guacamole we had was so good, the avocado just have been perfectly ripe. It also came with no other filler items, just pure avocado and seasonings. I only wish it was a bigger portion! My tacos (one al pastor and another carnitas) were good. I like it spicy and I wish it came with a side of pickled jalapeños - I ended using a lot of the habanero hot sauce at the table. The chile relleno was delicious for me, the batter was just right. I've had others that just tasted too oily and this did not. My husband tacos looked amazing and he said they were as good as they looked. So all in all, we were happy that we stopped in and would do so again, next time to have some margaritas!

The Birria tacos and the octopus tacos are very delicious. All of the food is great and the service is even greater. Easy and convenient free working and good staff fast attention. Margaritas are very strong but good. Try the fresa con crema desert.

Wonderful environment Very authentic tasty food. Reasonable pricing. Incredible kind, patience waiters & waitresses I give it 100% for all those delicious reasons. My favorite is Enchiladas Verde. I could eat there everyday with the variety of super tasty entries & even the nachos are a meal by themselves

Stopped in on a Friday evening. A bit busy, but was seated in about 15 minutes. Food was good, drinks were great! Only a couple of waiters and they were busy busy I think our waiter forgot about us to take our food order for a bit but once we got our order in the food came out quick. Would visit again next time I'm in town.

I have eaten at Los Gallitos many times and have always been pleased. With a full bar, ice cold beer or a tasty Margarita makes any meal better. You will need a couple if you order the Camarones Diablo. Plenty of perfectly cooked shrimp drenched in a super spicey sauce. The burritos are huge and full of flavor. The beans and rice that come with all entrees are sure to please your taste buds. Everything from tacos to steaks with specials everyday and night except Thursday when they are closed. You will enjoy the authentic decor with super comfortable chairs. With reasonable prices located in the heart of downtown Fort Bragg, California, you can't go wrong.Parking: Located on the street or right across the street in the Purity Supermarket parking lot.
