Good healthy and tasty food, very reasonably priced, friendly service and in a pleasant outdoor but roofed veranda right next to the beautiful and interesting Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. Highly recommended for fresh air casual lunch and snacks.

Great sandwiches with fresh ingredients! We also got our two furry kids their own lunch - doggie bowls, which the absolutely loved and Rhody's makes in house themselves.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat before wandering the garden. Grilled cheese and light sandwich were good. Ginger molasses cookie as well.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such an amazing cafe located inside the Mendocino Botanical Gardens! We were traveling along CA Coastal Hwy1 from San Francisco to Leggett and included a visit to the gardens specifically to see their dahlia garden. We were not disappointed! See my review and pictures! The menu had a variety of choices catering to adults and kids. Strawberry lemonade, hot teas and chocolate, fresh baked cookies and muffins, along with locally made ice cream.Fresh seasonal veggies from the garden’s vegetable patch are used in homemade soups, sandwiches, and salads. You do not need to purchase an admission ticket to enjoy eating lunch at Rhody’s Garden Cafe. The food is fresh, delicious, affordable, high quality, and served with a smile. If we are ever in Mendocino again, we will definitely eat at Rhody’s Garden Cafe.Lunch hours 11-3Snacks and drinks 10-4

Rhody's Garden Cafe: A Delightful Culinary Haven Amidst Natural BeautyMy partner and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Rhody's Garden Cafe, nestled within the enchanting Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden in Fort Bragg. After exploring the breathtaking trails of the Botanical Garden, we stumbled upon this hidden gem of a lunch spot, and what a delightful find it was!The first thing that struck us was the incredible food. My partner opted for the turkey and pesto sandwich, and she couldn't stop raving about how much she enjoyed it. The flavors were perfectly balanced. As for me, I went for the hummus and veggie sandwich with diced jalapenos, and it was a true revelation. Not only was it beautifully presented, but each bite was a burst of freshness and deliciousness. We were thrilled to learn that the veggies used in the sandwiches were grown right there in the Botanical Garden, making the dining experience all the more special. And to top it off, the bread was locally made, adding that authentic touch to the whole meal. The sandwiches were adorned with adorable edible flowers, which added a whimsical and artistic touch. The service at Rhody's was exemplary. Despite the place being busy, the staff member who attended to us was incredibly kind and attentive. Our food arrived promptly, and we felt well taken care of throughout our dining experience. The atmosphere of Rhody's Garden Cafe is nothing short of charming. Picture yourself seated outdoors, sheltered under a large gazebo-like roof that gives a cozy and welcoming feel. The setting is intimate, with just the right number of tables to create a relaxed and personal ambiance. To add to the beauty, each table is adorned with a lovely plant, enhancing the connection to nature and the botanical surroundings. It's evident that Rhody's takes pride in being part of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden experience. The restaurant's commitment to using locally sourced ingredients, especially those harvested from the very garden in which it resides, demonstrates a deep appreciation for nature's bounty and sustainable practices. In conclusion, Rhody's Garden Cafe is an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden or simply seeking a wonderful dining experience. The combination of mouthwatering food, friendly service, and a captivating atmosphere make it a perfect stop for both locals and visitors alike. I can't recommend this little oasis enough, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to savor more of their delectable treats amid the beauty of nature.

Wow, what can I say about this amazing little restaurant. At first, I honestly did not want to eat at this place because from the outside, looking in it seemed like they might be serving a basic sandwich for the road but my my my was I pleasantly surprised. We went to Fort Bragg for a wedding, and before joining all the festivities, we decided to visit the garden. After having our time on the hike, we needed to rush back and had very little time to find a good place to eat. I decided to try their daily special, and it happened to be a veggie sandwich with pottabla mushrooms, squash, and other veggies dipped in balsamic vinegar with feta cheese. I added chicken and cheddar cheese because I needed protein in my life. They served it on a chebatta bread with a crispy pickle on the side. I really don't like pickles, but this pickle tasted super fresh and homemade. The price is a little much for a sandwich, but I can honestly say that I had the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. The lady who served us was also so sweet and funny. If you visit Fort Bragg Botanical Gardens, stop by and have a sandwich here because you will most definitely not leave disappointed. Happy travels. ?

Absolutely the worst coffee I've had in years! Brown water-at least it was hot.

Arrived after lunch but we enjoyed the highly rated local ice cream - Cowlicks. Not the full range of flavors but enough of a selection. Dogs and kids are welcome.

Ordered Mac n Cheese at noon, top layer hard as a rock, looked nuked in microwave. Stick to vegetables.
