Location and Accessibility:
The Subway located at Fort Bragg is right at 141 Boatyard Dr #B, making it highly accessible for both residents and military personnel. With its location, it's a go-to spot for those looking for a quick, healthy meal on or near the base.
Food Quality:
Sandwiches: The sandwiches here maintain Subway's standard of fresh ingredients. I opted for a classic, and the bread was freshly baked, with a good selection of meats, veggies, and sauces. The veggies were crisp, and the meat was flavorful, offering a satisfying meal.
Customization: One of the best parts about Subway is the customization, and this location doesn't disappoint. Whether you're looking for a vegetarian option or a meat-lover's delight, they cater to your taste with a smile.
Service:
Speed: Service was quick, which is crucial on a military base where time can be a luxury. Even during peak hours, my sandwich was made with efficiency without compromising quality.
Staff: The staff here were notably friendly, a pleasant surprise that added to the dining experience. They seemed knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations when asked, which was great for someone looking to try something new.
Ambiance:
While ambiance might not be what you come for at a Subway, this location was clean and had a straightforward, no-nonsense vibe that fits the military atmosphere. It's not fancy, but it's comfortable enough to sit down and enjoy your meal if you're not in a rush.
Value for Money:
Priced at a level that feels reasonable for the quality and quantity, especially given the fresh ingredients and the ability to customize your meal. It's an affordable option for those looking to eat healthily without breaking the bank.
Overall Impression:
The Subway at Fort Bragg stands out for its consistency in offering fresh, customizable sandwiches in a convenient location. It's a reliable choice for anyone needing a quick, healthy bite. The staff's friendly demeanor and the speed of service make this a top pick for soldiers and civilians alike looking for a meal that won't weigh them down. If you're at Fort Bragg and need a sandwich that fits your dietary needs or just want something fresh and fast, this Subway location should be on your radar.
Not busy at all. Ordered the beast and wasn't ready for how stuffed it was. I probably should have gotten a regular sub.
The music sucks

This was a fully stocked deli. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had 3 workers, instead of the one at most other Subways.
Vegetarian options: We get wheat bread with avocado, spinach , onion, and olive. The sweet onion teriyaki is very good on this.

We were waiting in queue at 9.20pm inside the subway. The gentleman said “closed” at 9.29. Don’t mind closing it - but why do you think we waited for 9 mins before closing? You could have told us before that you were closing.

On Father’s Day, went to pick up a sandwich like I do many times they’re expensive number four and the large person making the sandwiches was rude and incompetent and acted like I should be working for her. I have been to the subway a number of times and it was OK but The treatment today was unacceptable by almost anyone’s standards. She was rude could’ve cared less about my sandwich and acted like she didn’t want to be there and I should be paying her or something. I have been treated well there in the past by different people, but this person doesn’t belong serving people . Unfortunate I will probably not return there for a long time even though it’s the only one in Fort Bragg. Pathetic pathetic service!!!

No, I am not having typing issues. This place will continue to get four star reviews and I will continue to withhold the “Ex” unless something changes.
Ft. Bragg has to be an interesting place to work. And I find that this Subway is always interesting. This place has always been one of the cleaner Subways I have visited. And it is in a mall atop a hill on the outskirts of FB. Why does that matter? Not sure. The workers are, to the one, over the years, both interested and disinterested in working there. Can you blame them? But the sandwiches and salads I have received have been a step above most I have received from other Subways in California and Oregon. Why that is is a question I continue to ponder after this last visit.
This time, I walked into the same sort of vibe. The only worker on staff (what gives?), was in the corner of the kitchen-area texting. She noted I arrived. She said she would be with me in a minute. Then she kept texting. I am sure this was not a text exchange with corporate about new policies and procedures. And she showed absolutely no concern with texting away until she was done. Perhaps it was about her children. Who knows? She never explained this gap of a few minutes to me. But, when those texts were done, I had her attention (then again, I was the only other person in the room). Sandwich and salad were made. She took note of my requests. All was well. Credit paid. Food given. Food eaten a few hours later. Fine.
I suspect that they simply hire good enough workers who do more than good enough work. And that is fine with me. I don’t expect perfection, especially when . . . I . . . am . . . going . . . to . . . Subway. Thing is, there is a bit of an edge to these workers that I find enjoyable. This time I asked if they still had those small packets of croutons (they were, as of this summer, one of the only ones that did). The server said, “No.” I said, “That’s okay. Most of the other Subways have gotten rid of them.” The server replied, "Subway keeps getting rid of a lot of things.” Loved the candor. Sorta’ makes me happy she noticed, and then ignored, me while she finished her texting earlier.
Ft. Bragg has the Subway that Mendocino only wishes it had. Then again, that one would probably be filled with insufferably deadbeats driving hand-me-down BMWs! I kid.
