Recently took a trip to Fort Bragg for my 40th birthday and stayed at the Weller House. The hospitality there is amazing. The rooms are comfortable and historic. With the open house platform we were able to interact with other guests. The owners were so welcoming and loved having conversation with their guests. We are excited to return and eventually try to stay in a different room each time we return. Highly recommend and you support a family and not a corporation.

We stayed for the first time at the Weller House and loved it! I was looking for a new place for me and my employee to stay for monthly field work and came across this place. The mid-week, winter rates were within my work budget. We loved the house and garden tour Sunny gave us, plus hot tea and fresh baked cookies. Looking forward to the Weller House being our monthly lodging for the next seven months!

This was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The owners were amazing, and the tour of the property was fascinating and beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous, and we loved the tea and cookies. Our room was incredibly comfortable, and we didn’t want to check out. We’ll absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Fort Bragg. I had such a memorable birthday weekend here…highly recommend!
The lovely owners very kindly gave us a room even though they were preparing for a big opening. They were so welcoming and hospitable! The property is amazing and they’ve clearly put a lot of work into it to bring out its history and beauty. We stayed in the tower which had all around views of Fort Bragg. We got there at night so waking up in the morning to the view in the light was incredible. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We will never forget our night in Fort Bragg and we are very grateful for the experience!

Loved this amazing place that is perfectly located close to food and shops with a staff that goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. They provided fantastic recommendations. The room we stayed in was the highest room in the tower with amazing views of the ocean and town. Their garden is out of this world. They also had fresh baked cookies and amazing coffee every day. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for one night in October 2024 and it was really lovely. The Weller House is under brand new ownership, so not all the rooms are ready for use yet, but our room was clean, quiet, and really nicely furnished (the wallpaper and paintings on the ceiling were especially cool). The new owners were very friendly and clearly excited about picking themes for each room and showing guests around the premises. The cookies by the reception are freshly made and delicious, so definitely try those if you get a chance. Their garden is lovely too, and it's only a short walk from the Weller House to a beach access – I'd love to come back for a longer stay in the future!

Very special spot with gorgeous rooms, beautiful gardens - even a cute solarium and library where we were able to work for a bit.
Beautiful restored Inn - coffee served in main house in AM was delicious! (Fresh warm cookies served as well...)
Inn owners were super helpful and lovely. Easy walk to Main Street for Breakfast. Bed was super comfy - would definitely stay again!
Nearby activities: Ft Bragg itself funny little town - hike on Russian Gulch trail over ocean absolutely stunning. Eat in town early though - most things are closed by 8 or 9 pm.

Stayed the weekend in the Seaglass room at the top of the water tower - can't say enough about how amazing this property is. Great attention to detail by the new owner/management team. We're looking forward to the next stay already. Highly recommend this place, it's a unique piece of NorCal history.

Thank you to Sunny and Jeff for a wonderful stay! Highly recommend staying in the water tower for a fun experience, and ask for a full tour of the property if you have time. So much history and character in every room. Walking distance to the skunk train and downtown. Loved every moment!
Rooms: Sweet rooms with character. The water tower is a fun experience.
Walkability: 10/10. A few minute walk to the skunk train and downtown Fort Bragg.

My wife and I stayed in the Abalone room for a couple of nights towards the end of August. Dog friendly activities are a must for us. The owners were so helpful suggesting places for us to try! We had 2 MUCH needed fantastic days! Not to mention the absolutely BEAUTIFUL sunsets we were able to enjoy from the room. Thank you Weller House! We'll be back.

32Do not book this property! Owner is a thief. We had a reservation that was paid up front. We arrived after a six hour drive at 9:00pm. Upon entering the room, we saw that it had not been cleaned from the previous reservation. We tried calling, but the number was disconnected. We messaged through every online app we could find that the property was connected to, and tried knocking on the office door, with no avail. Someone from the Facebook page replied after several hours and said she was no longer involved with the property. We knew that even if we got a hold of the owner while we were there, they probably would not be able to have someone come out to clean at that hour, not to mention that we were tired after our long drive, so we had no choice but to find another place to stay. The owner finally got back to us 2 DAYS LATER and said that the cleaner had the flu and someone in her family died. Never apologized or offered a refund. She has not responded to any other messages that we have left and still has not refunded our money. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. What we experienced was inexcusable and it could happen to you too.

Loved this historic home and its location. Every room has a bathroom. Some of the rooms only have a tub but it wasn't a big deal. NO common toilet, so if you have someone stop by, they have to use someone's private space. There was a serious ant infestation. Ants were in every room, bathrooms, in the dishes, on every surface in the kitchen and walls. They were everywhere - not exaggerating, it was a serious problem. We cleaned constantly but nothing we did seemed to help, they constantly poured in.We were told its because it was cold outside and in a rural area... nice try. I've live a rural most of my life.My recommendation would be to hire a pest control service.I would give a 5 star if it weren't for the ant infestation.
