The food and service were good. It is on the smaller side. Wasn't overpriced, and everything we had was fresh

This place is basically a rip off, don’t get fooled by the menu, what they show in pictures you get a quarter of it, never ordering from this place again

Ordered the Deluxe Chirashi. All belly cuts, amazing, fresh, worth every penny!

Cozy little spot with clean, comfy seats. Fish and meat was very fresh, and the steak teriyaki was some of the best I've had in a while. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for some good price comfort sushi.

Tried this restaurant last year for the first time. The food was delicious and fresh. But recently the food quality become horrible. Ordered few rolls today, the fish is dry and not fresh! The avocado inside the roll is dark! Completely waste my calories!

We all enjoyed our dinners here. I'm not a raw fish fan so I had the tonkatsu, which was excellent. I prefer it served over a mound of shredded cabbage but it was very good, lean and pounded thin. The salad and miso soup were great. My dinner companions had a variety of sashimi and other sushi and seemed to enjoy them quite a lot. We will be back!

The sashimi plate is not so fresh. 15 pieces maybe only 3 are alright.

Excellent find for the new year. Everything we ordered, we loved, and would order again. Service was A+. There was one server handling the entire floor, in person to go orders, and answering the phone. He provided details on the items we ordered ensuring we knew one of the rolls had no rice (Sakura roll) and that one would be a bit spicy (chef's roll). Our hot tea was always refilled, empty dishes cleared quickly, and food brought out in a timely manner. We also heard him ask a gentleman who ordered "to go" what car he was in so that he could bring it out to him when ready. Definitely above and beyond given he was doing everything front of the house. The rainbow blossom roll-perfectly fried baby scallops overflowing from the center on the roll- and chef's roll were the standouts at the table. Only negative was the miso soup. It was lacking in flavor/depth. Would not deter me from returning at all. Parking was easy in the large lot, but might be because 80% of the other businesses were not open today.

Oh my god. The best sushi in town, maybe ever. I went with friends after school and they were so nice. They gave us miso soup on the house, and the food is so consistently amazing! Would totally recommend

I was in Foster City last weekend, and before heading home I decided to swing by Beach Park Plaza. I wanted to see what else the shopping mall had to offer. At 5pm on a Sunday, the parking lot was only 1/3 full. The first place I noticed was Akizu Sushi Bar. Hmm, I should widen my sushi experiences, I shall go in here and try their food. I ordered: -49er Roll: crab, salmon, avocado, lemon slice. It was okay. The lemon slice was thin w/ a few seeds. The flavors blended nicely and the fish was fresh. A bit larger in size. - Red Dragon Roll: shrimp tempura, cucumber, spicy tuna, tobiko, unagi sauce, spicy mayo and green onions. I like this roll, I would order it again. The diced cucumber give each bite a crunch. They give you more sushi in larger sized rolls. Staff was nice, and the interior is pretty. I will return to try other rolls if I'm in the area. Located in Beach Park Plaza, at Beach Park Blvd & Marlin Ave, Foster City. Free Parking

Akizu is a little hidden gem in a mini strip mall in Foster City! We tend to come here for a quick lunch on the weekends before running errands in the area. This is a good spot for a variety of rolls -- they have a mix of standard and specialty ones ones. They also offer a variety of bento options. Portions are solid and prices are reasonable. Service is also pretty quick. Some of our favorites: +Double salmon: we love salmon and this roll is filled with fresh salmon pieces. +Sunkissed: this is my favorite one because it combines my love of spicy tuna and salmon. I only wish they would give more avocado in this specific one. +Dragon: my husband loves this one because it has shrimp tempura in it. I can tell they freshly fry the tempura because the texture is still extra crispy even though it's in the middle of a roll. +Takoyaki: also freshly fried and has tasty breading. It could use bigger pieces of octopus but we still enjoyed it. Topped with a generous pile of bonito flakes. Since we live nearby we think this will be in our regular rotation of places to eat when we crave some sushi rolls. I probably wouldn't come out of my way here but it's convenient when we are on this side of town for errands.

I love this place. Super underrated. The fish quality is amazing. The maguro is always extremely fresh. Their specialty rolls are very unique. Tried a few cook dishes and appetizers and my family is always impressed. A really nice addition to the area and I hope they do well. The staff is very friendly. Never had issues with errors on my order. The team is extremely fast. Sincerely love this place. Hope it becomes a neighborhood staple for the community. Far better than other Japanese restaurants in our community.

Good food. Good service. It was very festive but they were playing Christmas music very loudly. Otherwise 5 stars!
