Loved this little diner very cute place, food was delicious, and our waitress was very sweet. Definitely a great find!

The staff was overwhelmingly rude. The food had so much salt I could not get past the first bite. So I purchased a small side to tide me over till I got home and sent my dish back minus one bite, of course I was charged full price for all of it. I wouldn’t feed a pig the slop they serve, and their attitude seals the deal. Highly recommend avoiding.

Food was great and the staff was friendly. If you're in the area, this is the stop for a hearty meal at a good price.

Service was HORRIBLE! I went there with my bf who is a vet and he had his service dog who had her service dog vest CLEARLY marked. Right from the get go, the waitress greeted us with a frown . I knew right away how things were going to turn out. The patrons were all fine with the service dog. On older couple were even petting her and asking questions about here. The owner came out and said that she needed to be under the table and complained that she was unsanitary. No one wants to eat food where they are not welcomed so we left immediately. The other patrons supported our move. Would rather eat Wendy's than take their crappy attitude!!!

Perfectly executed classic diner food, a great place to stop with your family. Kind and attentive staff.

The white lady with the bad wig is racist and a horrible server. While ordering she was telling us to hurry up and order even though we were the only table in the restaurant. My friend asked a question about the menu and she said "it's right there read it" and left. She kept yelling at us when leaving to use the restroom, which is outside, to close the door behind us because it doesn't close automatically. She never checked on our table even though the whole place was empty. We paid $85 for 4 basic egg/cheese/bacon breakfast sandwiches. When I asked for a box she left it on the counter and I had to get up from the table to go get it. The place is extremely outdated, the horrendous customer service makes me feel like I went back in time to experience racism from the 1930s. We still tipped her even though she did not deserve it. Food is whatever, customer service is despicable, and the place is ugly we went based off a (bad) recommendation. I'd rather starve or eat some leaves off the mountain.

My parents came up the hill New Year's Day and we decided to get breakfast at big John's. My mom has a medical condition, so which she had a service dog. They drove about an hour and a half to get up here so the dog was a bit excited to be out of the car, but in 100% control. Big John's did not want to serve us because he wasn't laying underneath the table. We ended up leaving and won't be going back due to not only about the dog, but them being extremely rude about it as well. As we did not call the restaurant that morning, and the dog was sitting between 2 chairs at the table wagging his tail. It is not only just rude, but even illegal to deny service due to a service animal. We even offered to provide the dogs paper work which the restaurant workers still wanted the dog outside.

Rude rude rude. They were horrible when I went there in the mid 90'sand haven't been back sinci gave it two stars for the foodthe food isn't anything special butt it's not bad. It's the wait staff. Their snarly and I don't trust them not to put something in my food. The bathroom is outside in the cold and they guard the use of it. Like Fort Knox. I don't want to know happened there to make them like that but to be honest I don't want to know.

For what I paid I expected better. The stuffed pancakes had no flavor. The strawberries were bitter, I couldn't finish it. It left a bad taste in my mouth. The country fried steak was too chewy. At least the eggs, hash brown and sausage links were good.. I guess this place is not for

Rudest interaction we've ever experienced. Didn't last more than five minutes. The woman that was serving should not be allowed in the service industry. She told us to sit anywhere and didn't bring us menus. I got up to get us menus and I got yelled at that she would bring us some. When she brought us menus, she tossed them and I asked for coffee and water. She put her finger in my husband's face and barked at us to give her a minute. There was literally one other table in the entire restaurant and it was 9:30. She walked off without allowing us to order coffee. We sat there stunned at the treatment and then left. I don't understand why businesses think customers should put up with poor treatment and they'll stay in business.

In my humble opinion, this was not a great place. The food was ok, I have been all over the country from Tennessee to Oregon and in between but this place has the worse tasting coffee ever. It tasted like it was percolating using old pennies. But the lady was super nice and no use in complaining.
