We ordered the tofu masala, curry with naan bread, and the Indian savory pancake. This is the place to come if you have time on your hands. Without a doubt, the food is worth the wait. The food is unbelievably tasty. My favorite was the pancake. I have never tasted anything like it. So light and flavorful. Would highly recommend. You also get a free banana when you leave. Ahhh

If you’re looking for true break from the highway to relax and have a delicious, unhurried meal- go here. Reservations and ordering ahead makes for a quicker experience if that’s important to you. The menu is huge and you’ll be sure to find something delicious- service is kind and helpful. This go round we had the tofu curry, chai, beefless shawarma and garlic naan. I had a horrible time here. I went in and was told by the waitress that they would take a while but didn’t tell me it would take 1hr 10mins. There was only 2 other people and three cooks. They kept passing by me so many times and didn’t make eye contact with me or even apologize for the wait, I finally asked when it would be done or if they even were cooking it and the one cook told me he would check on it and didn’t know if it was being made… he was in the back coking the whole time so I don’t know why he didn’t know if my meal was even being cooked. Me and my bf finally got up and left after an hour and 15 mins and he chased after us and was shouting at us and told us we are not nice for leaving! It made me very upset to be yelled at for leaving after waiting so long and complained already! Definitely not coming back. I wasn’t even trying to be rude but after waiting over an hour I was over it and left. He showed me no respect. I’ve worked in customer service my whole life and never spoke to customers very rudely or even ignored them. The guy seemed very sketchy and nervous as well, this place is very gentrified with hippies, at least the staff who yelled at me lol.

A great little place with plenty of vegan options. They offer a large selection of delicious food with an emphasis on traditional Indian dishes. Super friendly staff. It's my must stop spot on the way from SF to LA. #Veganuary

-Classic pancake - great 9/10, though some vegan butter would be amazing to have -Indian Savory pancake - great 8.9/10 Nice place, great menu. Would be amazing to see it go fully pant-based in the future!

We had an amazing vegan breakfast here. The vegan French toast was out of this world! Atmosphere was also very peaceful and nice, and everyone that worked there was kind beyond belief. Highly recommend!

I got tofu curry -- totally delicious. Also got an order of naan bread. My eyes are bigger than my stomach, so this became a second, just as delicious meal later. The atmosphere was calm and comforting. I ordered chai and should have specified almond milk because the coconut milk had the wrong flavor profile, as they would say on cooking shows. That was not the fault of RD, but of me.

We drove to Mt. Piños and got to see the snow and go for a beautiful hike through the forest and then came to The Red Dot to check out their menu and vibe and we are impressed! It's a cozy little restaurant with plenty books to read and the music takes you to India so you are immersed in the feeling of being there. The staff are very kind and helpful with ordering and the food is absolutely amazing!

Tasty, authentic vegetarian food made fresh and high quality. This is definitely one of the best Indian fusion restaurants we have been to. Kid friendly with decent amount of parking. Extremely nice staff as well. Service is a bit slow though, as they make things fresh, hence plan accordingly.
Highly recommended.

I came into the restaurant with two of my friends while we were on the way from LA to Fresno in the early afternoon. We figured it would be quick and easy enough to stop in. We ordered a burger, a burrito, and a thali which we figured would be quick since there was only one other person in the restaurant who left almost right after we got there. It took AN HOUR AND A HALF to get our food, and the kitchen only got on it when we were asking to cancel the check. All the wait times our server gave us ended up being wrong. Our food was really nothing special, particularly considering how long it took to actually get to us. Our server was really apologetic, but still, how does a restaurant possibly run like that. A large table that sat down an hour after us got their appetizers before even a single plate came out. We heard our server taking the order so they clearly didn’t order ahead of time. The whole time we were there, they kept playing this same song on repeat which was on the verge of giving me a migraine. After this experience, I can honestly say that I’ll never be back and I can’t say why anyone would eat there willingly.

We ordered the veg thali and the smoked eggplant. Both were great. Simple, yet flavorful food. Totally worth that 10mins drive off I-5, the perfect hidden gem.

I've come here thrice on our way to LA. It took over an hour for the food to get ready the first time, so we ordered food an hour in advance the third time, it still took over half an hour and the order came out wrong. I love the food here and appreciate the ambience but the speed is very disappointing, especially during a road trip. I'm probably in the minority when I say I'm not coming back here again.
