Stopped by for lunch at around 12:30 on a Wednesday. There was no wait. Water was provided extremely fast. Ordered the sushi regular: 7 piece Nigiri and 6 piece CA roll, and a miso soup. It was delicious. Some of the Nigiri had toppings including pickled wasabi and avocado. Everything tasted super fresh and each piece was plentiful. -No skimpy skinny fish pieces. Even the CA roll was good. Looking forward to coming back.

We went here for lunch with some friends and it was great. We had a smattering of different things: spicy tuna, salmon skin, rock and roll, and different special rolls. The Romeo and Juliet roll was tasty. I typically don’t order raw salmon for my rolls, but the texture of the salmon was very soft and nice. They also had a nicely priced grilled fish collar and it was a good portion for the price we paid.Service was great. Sometimes when I order hot tea, it’s one cup or they’re slow to refill the tea pot. Here they were very fast to fill up our tea pot.

Solid 4 stars. Sushi is pricey though and the cut is different. The fish is spiced very long compared to the rice. But the ingredients were fresh.

Very delicious food, pretty meh/poor service from host but as long as the food is good that all that really matters. Reasonable priced compared to other sushi, fresh not fishy delicious taste. Very pretty!

Place is amazing. Get the omakase or anything else. The fish tastes fresh cause I hope it is. Try the Hokkaido scallops. They are MASSIVE! delicious. Tastes like you are surfing on the ocean. Truly an exhilarating experience. Price point was like $18, Japanese import, it was a special occasion. Next the chirashi. Every bite was amazing. Look at the chunks. You can't get any better than this. After bed of rice at the bottom. Just sooooo good. Like, there is no need to explain this but look how beautiful laid out the fish is. Don't you just want to gobble that up like it's Japanese thanksgiving? My goodness. For this, I'd go back in a heartbeat. I think this was around $30 give or take? Omakase. Wow. Unique fish. They don't really explain what the fish are like at the high end fancy spots, but they will give you bursts of different flavors. Everything tastes different and delicious! It's an experience for sure. About $50 for all of that fish Only downside we experienced here is that I wouldn't recommend the amami special roll. If you can see the avocados on the exterior was extremely thin. The amount of crab was very minimal... and there wasn't a whole lot of eel that we could taste... EVERYTHING ELSE WAS AMAZING!

My team was craving sushi so we found one near us to go during lunch. We were immediately sat and ordered their lunch menu and were pretty satisfied with our meal. The little designs on their bowls and plates were super cute! Showed a lot of details.

They were clearly attending people inside (even the hours say they close at 9pm) but they had their doors closed and only allowed certain people in.

Good: Amani tacos and the Snow White rolls were both pretty good. Meh: We ordered another roll "melted in the mouth" and it was just okay. Far too sweet. Bad: Agedashi tofu was probably the worst I've ever had. No hot broth, instead was sitting on top of a sweet, sticky brown sauce. Not good. I should have sent it back. A few bites of sushi had sinew. Service: Not the best. Servers were around but you had to keep flagging them down to get their attention. Not super friendly but not mean either. Don't feel this meal was worth the $100 for two.

So lucky these is no long line when we had dinner on Saturday evening, and we were seated instantly. Stuff all friendly and they will keep refilled our water. Heard from them the "TORO BOWL" is a new special, and it was realllly Surprisingly delicious.... Definitely deserves 5 )

I used to come here all the time when they open a new location in Fremont. This is the first time that I am using DoorDash to order take out. Everything as same as we doing Dine in, fish is keep fresh, and the food all keep their quantity. Highly recommendations!!!!!

Amami Sushi was recommended to me by a friend! I believe that they have several locations in the SF peninsula side of the Bay Area and this is their first East Bay location. This location is a bit hidden and off to the side in the Fremont Times Square plaza, which is a quieter plaza. There is usually plenty of parking in the shared lot as well. Honestly, my first visit was good, so I came back a second time within the same week, which was a mediocre visit. On my first visit, I ordered 1 order each of their sake nigiri and salmon roll - about $17. The nigiri had big cuts of salmon, but the salmon roll only came with 6 pieces and the pieces were a bit on the smaller side. It tasted fresh though and I wished I ordered another order of salmon roll. I do not mind paying for fresh tasting and good sushi, so I was excited and on my second visit, I ordered 1 order each of their kani and sake nigiri, and 2 orders of their salmon roll - about $34. Unfortunately on the second visit, they gave me the salmon belly cut of the nigiri, which I did not prefer and the salmon for both the nigiri and roll was not that fresh, as it tasted fishy. The kani nigiri was good though. Maybe I caught them on an off night because on my second visit, it was not that busy compared to my first visit, but I would probably be back one day, if I am in the area.

3.5 (+0.5 for stellar service) We ordered the chef's omakase ($46, 10 pieces) and chirashi lunch ($20). The omakase fish was cold (should have been at room temperature) and the taste profile tended to be bland. The toppings were seemingly random and did not interact well with the fish. However, for a ~$50 omakase it was passable. Confused why the chirashi came out on a plate but the wasabi was delightfully fresh. I've also never seen this type of cut before, it's definitely not traditional Japanese style but gives you more meat!

We were visiting my sister and everyone was craving sushi! So we thought we give this place a try. We had a party of 7, if you're including a new born baby. It was a bit of a wait since we came on a Saturday night. The service was good, a little loud inside, but you can tell everyone was having a great time. Nice ambience, food was definitely amazing! We finished everything. Definitely would be coming back!
