ANANTARA Restaurant

My spouse and I had a lunch at Anantara on Feb 14th. The restaurant was serving a Valentine's Day special menu. Anantara is a vegetrian freindly resutaurant which we appriciated give our dietary preference. The food was flavorful and not the run of the mill South Indian food (i.e. Dosa / Idlis etc.) you typically find at Indian restaurants. Staff is freindly and responsive. Would definately go back !

The hosts were really accommodating and helpful and same goes for wait staff. Veg thalli was excellenttt! So much variety and quantity

Good food (if the spice levels were increased to meet Chettinad cuisine standards, would be ideal) and good service, this restaurant is a good addition to the Bay Area culinary scene. I hope that they continue to maintain the quality.

Excellent service. Good food. The cutleries look little old, can use a replacement.
If you want the thali, go after 12pm.

We had an absolutely delightful dining experience at this Indian restaurant! The veg and non-veg thalis were a true feast. Beautifully presented, full of authentic flavors, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. Every dish felt like it was made with care and tradition in mind.

A special shout-out to our server, Narendran, who made the experience even more enjoyable. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for the food were outstanding. He guided us through the menu with great recommendations and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish.

This place is a gem; delicious food, impeccable service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend it to anyone craving an authentic taste of Southern Indian.

Ahhhmazing food!! Can’t wait to go back again. Delicious Sangria too. Chef Shankar is skilled and you can see that in every dish served. Highly highly recommend

Beautifully decorated restaurant. I loved the whole experience. Friendly staff (Ganesh was wonderful), the food delicious (especially the veg potli biryani, thali & curd rice experience. I say this as a person who lived in Chennai for a long time, so I know what it is supposed to taste like). The drinks were delicious too (mango lassi & passion fruit mimosa). I came back twice in a week. It is not the cheapest, but I feel it is worth it. Highly recommend!

Ordered chicken lotlam biryani. Ingredients used were fresh and also it tasted good.

However, the quantity for the price is ridiculously small. There has to be a balance between the price and quantity. Certainly, this place is not for me.

Food is very flavorful and tastes fresh. They have a unique menu. Not overpowering with spices and oil. Service was amazing. Servers were readily available and took our feedback well. Shout out to Narendra, our server, who made sure we enjoyed every dish. When we gave a feedback he got us another dish which was made perfect.
