We tried the agedashi tofu, rainbow rolls, and a few special rolls. The food was decent overall, but the rolls had a bit too much rice, and the fish on top was sliced quite thin

Unfortunately….this will be our last time
at Anikis…..we have been coming here for a few years now and since it was sold last year it has been progressively going down hill…We have been gone most of the summer at our other place and when we came in today it was completely empty….I was shocked as it was a Friday afternoon and it did not take us very long to figure out why….we ordered a few items and we had a bad start from the beginning…the crab salad appetizer breading was stale as well as the shrimp tempura and gyoza..They all came out super quick and we believe it was because they were pre cooked and that is why they tasted stale. We as well got rolls and the avocado was brown and mushy….when we were almost done…we think we figured out part of the issue…as some of the staff was going on lunch and sit in the booth behind us….they were all Latino and that shocked us as most of the old staff was Asian descent…Now I love Mexican food however I don’t think they should be cooking Asian food….the same as Asian’s should not be cooking Mexican food….I really hope they get things turned around…I would start in the kitchen and pay the money to get someone experienced in Asian/Japanese cuisine to run the kitchen….On a positive note the waitress was Asian and very pleasant…

Delicious, I recommend!! Nice place and generous in sushi. Be careful with the chicken because once in the noodles they were burnt… Excellent chicken gyozas
The room upstairs should be more airy but great concept

Great food. My previous favorite sushi spot changed owners and I wish it had happened sooner so that I'd have found this place. Great food, good portions, fast and friendly service. Will DEFINITELY be returning!

This place stinks. Literally. As soon as you sit down it hits you like a ton of bricks. Like you're sitting inside of a dirty mop bucket. The odor of this place was enough to make me sick to my stomach. But I toughed it out ate the meal and got out as quick as I could. The floor and the walls are stained and disgusting. The door has black sticky stuff all over it. Don't waste your time here. The atmosphere is terrible.

Took my wife here for her birthday. It was her first time. I've only gotten take out before, and it never disappointed! We ordered the edamame and Gyoza delicious! My wife ordered the Shrek rolls and Inkies tattoo rolls. She liked them both, but she liked the Inkies the best. I ordered the teriyaki steak and I really liked it!

Food is great. I usually order pickup. Their servers are too busy with other customers. I usually have to wait a long time for someone to give me my pickup order.

I'm pretty sure that the waiters saw me waiting there and my food is ready. They are too busy to give me my food or just don't care.

We have lived in Fremont for 3 years and always wanted to try this place. Finally tried it 2 days ago.The best sushi restaurant in Fremont. I would recommend it to family and friends. Employees were very polite and attentive. We ordered Rainbow roll, House special roll, Lion King roll, spicy garlic edamami, jalapeño bomb, salmon teriyaki with double salad no rice. Our meal was made to perfection. We will be regulars and making this our favorite place to eat.

SF East Bay (Fremont). We did the lunch special which is a pretty good deal for around $22 for a miso soup, a regular-sized roll and 3 pcs of nigiri. Hubby got Enter the Dragon which was good since of course you can't go wrong with shrimp tempura and avo inside and unagi on the outside. I got the See Through roll which was pretty unique since it had seaweed salad inside which amped the taste of the salmon and avo then it was wrapped in rice paper vs the usual seaweed wrapper. The miso soup was decent and the 3 pcs of nigiri were of course the chef's choice which were ebi, tuna and salmon.

What we did not like: the wasabi was super weak as in hubby's sauce container was already muddy with all the wasabi he put in and he still did not taste any heat! This also might be one of those very few Japanese restaurants that charge for hot tea since tea is usually complimentary. Lastly, the roll and nigiri were placed in an oval bowl which was also chipped btw and made it a little hard to get to the roll/nigiri vs the typical flat plate which would've been much better.

Overall, just ok and we kinda wished we chose another restaurant, Japanese or not, to eat at especially since we don't go to Fremont that much.

Aniki's is my go-to sushi restaurant. The food has always been great. The prices are a bit high.My last visit we went on a Monday. It was not busy. There was no wait. I learned that they recently opened for business on Mondays. Perhaps customers are not aware they are open Mondays now.We got Mango Crunch, Hamachi Lover & Charisma. We also got the crab salad, appetizer size. We love the crab salad. All these rolls were great, and I would get them again. Service was quick and professional.

Parking: There are wheelchair accessible parking spaces and a ramp nearby.

Kid-friendliness: I often see families with small kids here. It is kid friendly as long as they like sushi.

Wheelchair accessibility: I am a wheelchair user. The restaurant floor is accessible. There is space between tables to maneuver. There are enough tables to allow plenty of options for wheelchair users. I have not been in their bathrooms; I cannot speak to their accessibilty.
