I’ve been on the lookout for an Indian restaurant that packs in flavor, quality and freshness, FOUND IT! I had a variety of dishes and every single one was fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala, the garlic naan (get extra, trust me) and Suji Halwa ( new to me, SO WORTH IT!).
Staff is friendly and hospitable and they really take pride in what they serve. They have some good deals through delivery services like DoorDash and UberEats.

They also do full service catering! I highly recommend checking Bismillah out

Nothing against Zareen’s, but in my opinion Bismillah is a better representation of Karachi style Pakistani cuisine. These guys are doing god’s work. Every dish I have tried so far hits the spot.

Outdated and dirty. Like to give it 4-5 stars but the ambience killed it. Dirty!

Can't believe we hadn't tried this place until today. A total hidden gem of a restaurant. Everything we ate was super fresh and full of flavor. Some favorites from our visit today were the chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken and seekh kebab. Will definitely be adding this restaurant to our rotation.

Worst service

They charge us for 5% service charge on the bill without telling us before the order. They also increased the price of the plate from $ 14.99 to $18.99 without telling us. The menu price was $14.99 but when we asked about the raise, he said that it was increased but not yet reflected on the menu since it is a new year, 1/1/2025. Price gouging for sure.

Went for lunch and tried kababs and chicken tikka masala. Kabab were delicious and juicy. Chicken tikka masala was decent (meat was very tender). Overall food was freshly prepared and tasted.

If they can improve cleanliness that would be great

I have tried a couple of their items and regularly order from them. Their taste is authentic and serving size is good. They serve really good Haleem and one can’t find similar Roghni Naan as theirs. Biryani and Keema are also decent. Can do better on Channa Masala.
For dine in experiences this may not be a very aesthetically pleasing place however the food taste compensates for it. Service is generally good but sometimes one can feel the staff as not very welcoming but I have realized thats just how their tone of voice sounds.

One of my favorite Pakistani restaurants in the Bay Area.

Disappointing Experience

I had high expectations for Bismillah Restaurant but was thoroughly disappointed by the food. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Sheekh Kabab, and Haleem, and unfortunately, all three dishes were underwhelming.

1/ Chicken Biryani: Bland and lacking the signature spices that make this dish special. It tasted like it had been hastily put together with no attention to flavor.
2/ Sheekh Kabab: Dry and flavorless, completely missing the juiciness and spice kick you'd expect.
3/ Haleem: A complete letdown—bland, lacking depth, and nowhere close to authentic.

The dishes lacked seasoning, taste, and any semblance of the rich, bold flavors typically associated with these classics. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and flavorful food.
