I ordered mild spicy and what I got was definitely not mild. Unlike before, my whole milk cream curry soup base this time was covered in redness to the point I cant see any curry color, and every bite came with clumps of chili paste. The ingredients also seems to have changed, affecting the taste, and not in a good way.
The service is also very commonly slow and unwelcoming, such as the waitress forgetting to bring us napkins when we just told her 1 minute ago. Water also seems to be something we need to ask for while hoping they don’t forget.
In my years of eating Boiling Point, the quality seems to continually decrease over time. My visit today was the final straw.

New style of serving food (for me). Individual stove per dish and unlimited broth. Boiling fresh seafood, tofu, mushroom and veggies, the way I like my food. Great flavor too. Servers were efficient and polite. Atmosphere was nice, a little noisy since it's full house.

Taiwanese individual hot pot place that deserves more exposure! The stinky tofu is really good! The broth was a bit on the sweet side though……
Btw love the little sauce cans on the side!

Disappointing. The seafood was mostly regular meat, lots of noodles. They make people wait, while there are empty tables. You gets two of everything. Two overcooked shrimps, two tiny clams, two small rings of squid, lots of starchy clear noodle, topped with lettuce. They are amazing at ignoring the customers; an art form. Even to get napkins.
The 4 causes they have are amazing. Garlic sweet chili rocked. Garlic bean paste seems super popular.

The waitress was quick to seat us, but slow to take our order and even slower to refill our water. They used smaller paper cups for water, which I found strange. Giving the waitress the benefit of the doubt, I can understand that it might be difficult to tell whether a cup is empty. However, it would be best not to assume that everyone has enough water.

I have been to similar places, like Tasty Pot, and the customer experience can vary quite a bit. The prices here are on the higher side, but the portions are slightly larger. I ordered the Thai tomato soup, which was tasty but definitely on the sweeter side; tom yum soup is not supposed to be sweet. It seems they added some sugar or sweetener to the soup base.

We also ordered the House Special soup base (House special (stinky stinky pot in Chinese) The texture of the cabbage in the soup was enjoyable, but if you're unsure about this dish, you might want to choose something else, as the soup has a strong smell of stinky tofu and is definitely an acquired taste. Overall, the restaurant was decent. The lighting was dim, and the place was neat, but the tables were quite close together, making it easy to overhear other people's conversations.

Tried their lamb hotpot with a vegetarian broth, and I really appreciate the staff accommodating my broth replacement request. The portion was more than enough for one person. A satisfying meal with excellent service!

This was our first visit to Boiling Point, and while the food was enjoyable, the overall experience could have been better.

We were seated right away, which was great. However, we unknowingly chose a wobbly, broken table. Since it was our first time, we expected the staff to guide us through the ordering process or provide a brief introduction. Unfortunately, no one explained that we needed to scan a QR code to access the menu, which led to some initial confusion.

One thing I noticed was that the customer service was lackluster. It would have been helpful if the staff had been more proactive in explaining how the process worked, especially for first-time diners. Additionally, I didn’t like that we had to wait for staff to come and turn off the fire for our pots. At other similar restaurants, customers are usually given control over the heat, which makes the experience more convenient.

Overall, the food is good, and I would recommend this place if you’re simply looking for a meal. However, don’t expect attentive service or a welcoming vibe. The staff only came by when we specifically asked for something, and the atmosphere was underwhelming.

Got sat. Ready to order. 5 minutes went by. No one came to take order. Saw a staff took 2 other table's order. Tried to flag her down. She saw and just walked away. I also walked away and out.

I’ve consider BP decent quality in past experiences. This chain was by far the worse. The meat was layers thick all stuck together in the soup AND the appetizer. Very lousy. It was like a meat crepe. Didn’t bother separating them or lack of defrosting or simple bad quality stale meat. Soup flavor (more water down) was also worse than the other chains in LA

Best hotpot and probably my second favorite restaurant of all time.

I moved to Alaska and love to cook, I've been trying to recreate the tomato beef broth for 4 years, it has this aromatic flavor I can't place for the life of me, almost like a curry but not... I kind of think it might be some kind of artificial tomato flavor or some tomato extract that gives it that flavor.. idk but I hope the owner chef sees this and emails me or something cause I really would like to taste it again!

During lunch and dinner time, you need to join the waitlist most of the time, and wait for the waiter to get the bill for a while. The food came out fast and is always pretty good. The only cons are the price is getting more and more expensive.

Food is tasty as ever, but the wait, not only just to getting in, but also ordering can be time consuming, mainly due to the staff shortage.

Wheelchair accessibility: Seating options are limited, most table are extremely packed, hard to get in even if you are not disabled.
