Its overall a good Indian street food option. Service might be slow at times. But overall a good place.

Ordered paneer poori and shrikhand at the Utsav today. The paneer was atrocious at best. Stale, sour and rubbery, unfit for human consumption. Poori and shrikhand were fine though

I had a really disappointing experience here. I ordered Paav Bhaji and Papadi Chat. The Papadi Chat was just okay, but the Paav Bhaji was honestly the worst I’ve ever had - it was super oily, had a bad smell, and tasted so weird that we couldn’t even eat it.
What made things worse was how they served it on round paper plates, which felt really cheap and not clean at all. And for the high prices they charge, I expected at least proper cutlery and decent service.
Later, I noticed that they calculated tip on top of the food+tax, which felt really unfair and dishonest. I regret paying it.
This place left a bad taste in every way — the food, the service, and the way they charge you. I really wish I could give zero stars, and I wish I had read some reviews before going. Definitely not going back.

Tried Bombay Street Food recently and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. We ordered the Pav Bhaji and Dahi Papdi Chaat — both fell far below expectations.
The Pav Bhaji had a strange, unpleasant smell that made it hard to eat. The flavor was off and didn't resemble authentic pav bhaji in any way.
The Dahi Papdi Chaat was also underwhelming — lacking freshness, balance, and taste.
Overall, the food quality was poor, and we wouldn’t recommend it based on this visit. Definitely not worth.

My husband was really craving Indian street food so when we went shopping at apni Mandi, we decided to go here. It’s not a fancy or clean place - but we’re okay with this because we didn’t want to shell a lot for a quick meal. We ordered Shev batata puri, Bombay grilled sandwich, and keema paav. Paid $40 for it. More than I’d pay at a proper restaurant. Anyway- I thought, this is the Bay Area so they’re probably charging accordingly. The meal started off decent; the chaat was pretty good. Then the sandwich and kheema paav came in. They had a disclaimer on the menu saying it has egg in it too but I thought there may be some to bulk it up but I was woefully wrong. It was egg bhurji with a scattering of goat keema. It didn’t taste bad, but wasn’t good either. If I’m paying you 17 bucks for it, I want some meat. I was very disgruntled.
My husbands sandwich didn’t have the green chutney typical of a Bombay sandwich. It wasn’t layered, lacked the essential Bombay sandwich veggies, and was all in all a sad excuse for a sandwich.
So when we were deciding to go here, we hadn’t seen the ratings. Had we seen them, we’d stay away. I’m pretty sure the owner reads the reviews on here. When we were seated, we were the only ones there, yet there was no effort on the owners end to provide better service or make us like the food or place. It’s sad people like this want to get into the hospitality business. They really need to do something drastic if they want their business to last.

Me and my daughters took ice cream from there - mango, tutti frutti, chocolate. Mango was bad, Chocolate was horrible and tutti fruity tasted like artificial loaded with some perfume. We couldn’t eat it and threw it away after first bite. I think the ice cream was stale. Do not go there for ice cream.

Pathetic customer service. We ordered live pani puri and it was just 2 of us at the counter. Our server rushed us so much that we couldn't even finish one piece before 2 more were already served in a plate already full of pani. Not only made us eat quickly but all the pani puris got soggy before we could get to them.
She also started cleaning the counter while we were still finishing up last few pieces.
Please learn how to take care of your customers especially when you charge more than a dollar for each pani puri.
Pathetic food, no sense of proper service, and terrible hospitality. They washed the kitchen utensils in the restroom right in front of me. Horrible experience.
I cannot give zero, else I would have.
All food is overcooked, super spicy, bad quality. Worst food in the bay area.
Just now ate pani puri. The one who's serving us don't even know in which tone to be spoken to customer. Masala water is very cold. The curry they put in puri is also cold. Should have seen the ratings before I went there.
Restaurantji Recommends
The person serving panipuri is super mean. Never coming back again.
Good for a light lunch while shopping in the area! The samosa was delicious and service was good!
