Food is always good here, no question about it... ive always enjoyed eating here... their tea 'chai' can use some big improvement, it's not at all up to the mark... rest everything else that I have tried is good.

Special shout-out to the two women at Chaat Bhavan who made 10 aloo parathas for me today. They literally made my day with their authentic Punjabi style and perfectly stuffed potatoes. If you're a fan of aloo parathas, I highly recommend trying it.

Stomach upset every time !Chaat bhavan needs a thorough check on their hygiene conditions while cooking. The proceedings in the kitchen are obviously something I can speculate only but every time we eat here my entire family has an upset stomach the next few days. Initially I thought it was just me being sensitive to something but turns out most of our friends had the same experience as well. The food is tasty no doubt but please review and revise your cooking and serving conditions since upset stomach is not good for a restaurant!

This is a great indian pure vegetarian place with a lot of vegan options. Most items in the menu are good . If you are very specific in your taste about speciality items , you may feel a tad disappointed . As an example vada pav or dabeli. However , overall it is a very predictable and good fare every single time. There are several items I order very regularly and I get exactly what i have eaten before and what I expect. They have monthly specials and festival specials that creates some suspense and fun in the menu if you are a regular. At dinner You will have a crowd every day of the week. Weekends are more crowded . However service is fast and so the line moves fast. Extremely pleasant and courteous staff.

My recent experience at Chaat Bhavan was incredibly disappointing. What started as a craving for delicious Indian street food turned into a frustrating ordeal. I was wrongly charged twice for my meal. The system supposedly malfunctioned, prompting them to charge me again at the counter. Later, I discovered another charge on my bank statement.Disappointed and confused, I called to clarify the issue. While they offered a solution to visit again and avoid being charged, the resolution process itself was far from pleasant. Upon arrival, I was bombarded with questions and made to feel incredibly uncomfortable. The entire situation left me feeling frustrated, disrespected, and frankly, ripped off.Needless to say, this experience has completely shattered my enthusiasm for Chaat Bhavan Fremont. The delicious food I was initially looking forward to simply wasn't worth the hassle and frustration. I will definitely not be returning.

Seeing the excellent reviews we ordered takeout with 2 of the April special items - Tandoori Malai Sizzler & Vegetable Kulcha with Peshawari Chana, and the Lucknowi Vegetable Biryani. The food was absolutely terrible and tasteless. Sizzler had a very weird combination of Broccoli, Cauliflower & Cucumber with Paneer. The Vegetable kulcha tasted weird and the Chana was very bland. The biryani rice was very dry and the cauliflower and potatoes were partially uncooked.

Great service and atmosphere. Hara bhara kabab was good (not spicy). Veg thali was also good with a decent selection of veggies and curry. With a couple of extra roti, you can share the veg thali in two people, is enough.
