We were craving some flavorful Afghani grilled items, so we decided to order takeout from this restaurant. We got two of their triple kabob platters with chaplee, beef teka, and murgh kabobs. Each platter came with veggies, bread, and a potato salad on the side.
At first glance, I was excited about the potato salad as it actually looked a lot like Bengali chotpoti, which I’ve been craving. Unfortunately, the taste was quite different. It turned out to be a vinaigrette-based salad that was far too sour for my liking.
As for the kabobs, I was disappointed overall. The tikka pieces were quite large and lacked seasoning, which made them chewy and bland. The chicken was tender but also under-seasoned, missing that savory, spiced flavor you expect from Afghani grills. The chaplee kabob was the best of the three, but even that had an occasional pungent beef smell and uneven seasoning.
Overall, the meal didn’t quite satisfy the craving for rich, meaty Afghani flavors. The presentation was nice, but the taste just wasn’t there. Atmosphere seemed to be nice.

Service is very slow if you order to go . Since they changed owners , the online order are give or take 25+ min late on top or the time they give you . I had to wait sometime up to 50 min for my order even when the restaurant is not busy

Food quality was very low. A health inspector needs to check this place out because I believe I got food poisoning from this place.

1 We came to your restaurant to eat. On the location it showed open, but now it’s closed. What kind of restaurant management is this?

Rarely ever do I like to give a one star review but I must say I was extremely disappointed in my experience here.

The beef was well-done and extremely chewy, no one asked for preference on beef. Chicken wasn’t good either. Portions were small compared to other Afghan restaurants in the area. Service was non existent. No one ever came to check or ask me if I needed more water. I went to the washroom and they took everything away, and didn’t even ask if I wanted to take the food home or pack it.

Very odd and unusual experience and I won’t be going back here again.

Used to go their location in San Francisco all the time and it was great. However my experience this time was not good at all.
