Looking for a good tea - then this is the place, both Irani and Zafrani are very good and worth every penny.
We have also tried chicken biryani and shawarma here, Chicken Biryani is good however shawarma is bad, chicken was dry and rubbery and full of Mayonnaise.

Irani tea -5/5
Zafrani - 5/5
Chicken Biryani - 4/5
Shawarma - 2/5

Went for chai and bun maska. Place and menu is more dedicated to andhra palette.
Could not even have our basic Indian masala chai. Had to order Iranian and zafrani chai. Taste was not special.

Shahi tukra was too sweet.
Malai bun had very runny malai.

Not of the items felt authentic and I’d high end experience.

Service is fine, no plus, no minus. Tasted only the bun maska, Irani chai and fries. Irani chai / bun maska (was a little in the sweeter side) was as they are expected to be, but fries were just okay, flavors could be better.

I guess the food was fine and everything. The place was so overhyped, that the main disappointment was that there the vibe was very indian-y, as in very uncomfortable for girls- just too many guys talking in groups in and out of the store- just too uncomfortable for girls to be in and move around!

Vegetarian options: Onion samosa, bun maska, chai, masala fries

Deccan Morsels is a gem for those craving authentic Irani Chai. The chai is rich and flavorful. Their Chicken 65 has just the right amount of spice and tenderness, making it a must-try. The biryanis here are very good as well, packed with traditional flavors that tastes same as you get in Hyderabad. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially on weekends, but it’s worth it.

Deccan Morsels offers an authentic taste of Hyderabadi Irani Chai, Start with the Irani chai, perfectly sweet and strong. The Bun Maska, soft bread with butter, is a comforting snack. Don't miss the crispy onion samosas, bursting with flavor. Shahi Tukda, a decadent dessert soaked in cardamom milk and topped with creamy saffron custard. A true gem for lovers of Hyderabadi.

Mutton biryani, very mild spice, and less quantity of meat. If you are someone looking for Hyderabad biryani taste, you will be disappointed.

Visited several times, and their tea is on another level! I’m not even a big tea lover, but this was amazing. The lokhmi is great too, and the shawarma I tried last time was delicious, especially with the fries. The only thing left to try is the biryani. It’s a must-visit if you enjoy late-night eats!

This place truly has the best chai in town! I’ve often felt like it’s hard to find authentic Irani chai in the Bay Area, but you can get it here, and it’s amazing!

Due to their popularity, weekends can be overcrowded, but their service and getting to the counter was pretty quick.

Deccan Morsels: A Hidden Gem of Hyderabadi Cuisine in Fremont
Deccan Morsels in Fremont offers a delightful culinary experience showcasing the rich flavors of Hyderabadi cuisine. This charming eatery is a must-visit for those seeking authentic Indian food with a unique twist.
One of the standout dishes is the Loqmi, a savory pastry filled with minced meat and spices. The flaky crust and flavorful filling create a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. Another highlight is the Shahi Tukda, a sweet dessert made with deep-fried bread soaked in cardamom-infused milk and topped with a creamy saffron custard. It's a decadent treat that is simply divine.
While the food is exceptional, it's worth noting that the chai might not be to everyone's liking. The Irani-style chai is heavily sweetened with condensed milk, which some may find overly sweet. However, if you enjoy a strong, milky chai, this might be a pleasant surprise.
Overall, Deccan Morsels is a hidden gem in Fremont that offers delicious Hyderabadi cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a fan of Indian food or simply looking for a new dining experience, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

I used to drive all the way to Fremont just for their Irani chai, but lately the quality has been disappointing. They’ve been over-boiling it, which diminishes the richness of the chai and leaves an overly steeped taste in the mouth.
