Place offers extremely small portions for a very high price so I am not going there again!I have been to lots and lots of Ethiopian restaurants but never seen such paltry portions even for someone who does not have a big appetite. For a $17 meat combo I literally have 2-3 teaspoons of the three meats and 1 table spoon of gommen, with three slender (1in) strips of injera rolled up in a small rectagular plate that would be befitting for a starter/appetizer serving.Plus the food was served cold which is a no-no for me.Owners are very sweet and cordial and I wish them well but I am not returning.
A small, clean, nicely decorated, casual place. The menu is small and had Italian food as well, which seemed strange to me. We came for Ethiopian food and ordered the veggie platter and chicken tibs. The food was excellent! Nothing was wasted. I would like the injera portion size to be larger, but I'm glad it was gluten-free. I'd definitely come again. The only downside was that a wall blocks the view of who comes in, so we were waiting to be seated for a little while because they didn't know we were there. Also there was only 1 person doing all the work (hosting, serving, bussing, and checking out), so service was friendly, but a little slow. Not too bad, but they should have a separate hostess at least. Even so, I recommend this place.
Exceptional, authentic Ethiopian restaurant. I LOVE the savory meat combo with greens. It is delicious. After eating it, you will feel great because the ingredients are fresh. The spices are delectable. The owner is wonderful and customer service 110%. Try EphieCuisine. You won't regret it.
Such delicious Ethiopian food. Pasta and coffee too. Can’t wait to order again.
So surprised to find numerous Ethiopian restaurants in Fremont. But Ephie is my favorite. They have the vegetarian and meat combos plus a few more options. And you can bring others who may not want Ethiopian food today and they can get some great pasta offerings. The service is friendly and prompt and they can handle groups as well. Make a reservation for that.Ephie does a bustling business with orders being picked up by food drivers... so if you're stuck at work or want to stay home, they still have you covered. And they have breakfast options too.
Met the owner! She is so Nice! I had been in town for a friend that was in the hospital. Needed a place just to sit down.I had a simple Ceasar salad and a diet Coke. Cost was low, salad was fresh and simple. Enjoyed the food and the clean establishment. Support this young lady, she is wonderful! Todd Crookham
Just tried the French Toast and it was delicious! I have always loved the Ethiopian food, but now they also serve a wonderful breakfast as well. Perfect spot to work on laptop and eat my breakfast before heading into office. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the Fremont area.
My first experience today at Ephi’s Cuisine the best breakfast place I have ever had. I ordered the Fremont Breakfast Chicken bacon with Swiss cheese And it was perfect. My friend was not breakfast guy so they have got lunch menu so my friend ordered chicken Alfredo. I had a Cappuccino It’s great. The coffee was so tasty good. I’m definitely going back to this place again. This place is exception! The service was spot on friendly. Can’t wait to go back.
Ethiopian cousin isn’t similar to Mexican food or other fast foods. I appreciated the fact and attempts to duplicate Ethiopian food, but it’s not there yet. I kind of glanced the menus and looked for the spicy aroma of Ethiopian food at this place, but there was none. They are overly charging people under the name of Ethiopian food, but it’s not anywhere closer to it there yet. I highly encourage you though to find someone, and serve real Ethiopian food.
Yum! I really loved their tofu with injera. It was mildly spicy (my mom would enjoy it too, and her spice tolerance level is decidedly on the mild end) and very savory. It was a filling meal, but not a heavy one. My husband got the yellow lentils, which were also mildly spiced and tasty. We’ll be back. :)Edit: Went back! Still excellent. Husband got the vegetarian combo platter this time, and I got the tofu again.

Great place for lunch. We had the meat combo platter, lamb tibs, chicken pesto penne, plenty of injera, and finished with baklava. Fresh, high quality ingredients. Tried the Gojo beer, too. Nice vibe for meet up with friends. Location is off the beaten path so it feels peaceful. Friendly, courteous customer service. Definitely recommended. We will come back soon!
I had a great time at Ephie's! We had a party of 15 for my son's graduation and Ephie made accommodations with seating for us. The food was so good. Some of us had the traditional Injara and some had pasta but everyone said the food was so good. The restaurant is really cute and Ephie was so nice. 10/10. Thank you Ephie!
Delicious spices, everything tastes fresh, restaurant is very clean & reasonably priced! The owner Epheson is very sweet and was a wonderful host! After chatting with her I discovered it has been her dream since she was a kid in Ethiopia to have a restaurant. She makes everything herself from scratch, using recipes passed down from her mom and grandma. She's also is a single mom. I love eating here and supporting her dream. I'll be back!
Delicious! We are out all so fast I didn't get pictures! We got doro wat (my favorite!), chicken tibs, lamb ribs, and the veggie combo platter. So so so good! We will definitely be back!
I’m a vegetarian so I was very disappointed when I got home to find out I had an order with all meat. They did replace my order with no issue but when I got there she took my tray out off the refrigerator and placed it into what looked like a microwave for maybe 2 minutes. NOT FRESH AT ALL!!!!
