Ordered through Grubhub, for some reason they sent the drinks in a basically open container and spilled on our food, the banana oat milk and strawberry coconut milk were not at all sweet, bulgogi is fatty and full of gristle, didn’t taste like any bulgogi I’ve ever had. Unagi bowl had the weirdest texture, I’ve also had a lot of unagi and that was unlike any I’ve had as well. Garlic wings had cheese on them which I was not notified of, I am very sensitive to dairy so that wasn’t a good surprise for me. Ordered wasabi fries, they had no wasabi sauce on or around them and they arrived cold and wet. The curry chicken was incredibly lackluster, cooked in old oil and was kind of like if you described curry katsu to an alien 👽 and they made it for you 🍛 . Very disappointing especially for the price point, wasn’t able to eat anything I ordered. :(

Inside of the food hall, there are three stalls. Capture for coffee, YaDaebak! for appetizer, breakfast, or entree, and Smochi for mochi donut. The black sesame latte was so good! We got the Egg & Bulgogi breakfast rice bowl from YaDaebak and for $9, portions were generous and delicious. For a person that has always been meh about mochi don't, got a new perspective and experience through their chocolate with white chocolate swirl. The staffs are really nice and if you don't know what to get, just ask. Love the cleanliness of the space, too.

We had orange mochi donut from Smochi and it was chewy tangy and sweet LOVE it!!!
The Ya Daebak pork belly and fish was very good! Loved the Kim chee mandoo that came with it! Spicy goodness :)
The banana avocado latte was very unique and the best! They use real avocado and banana and their coffee Ben by Capture has a nice hint of dark chocolate, truffle and caramel. The black sesame latte was also very good! Looking forward to try the honeydew latte and ube latte next time as they also use real fruit, blended and puree.

Fremont Foodhall offers a good variety of bites, from coffee (both iced and hot) to rice dogs, wings, and a small range of mochi donuts for dessert. The venue itself is bright, clean, and has a fresh, new feel which creates a nice first impression.

I ordered a few items to get a well-rounded sense of the menu. The garlic wings and garlic fries were fine but a bit underwhelming. Both lacked the bold garlic flavor I was hoping for; the fries, although nicely sized, could have used a better shake to spread the seasoning more evenly. It felt like just a sprinkle of garlic on top rather than a consistent flavor throughout.

The rice dogs were a highlight, with generous sizes and tasty options. We tried the potato and mozzarella as well as the potato and beef—both satisfying and fun to eat. However, I was surprised to find that sauces came with an extra 25-cent charge; it would be nice if they included these for free with the dogs.

Overall, while I appreciated the ambiance, I found the flavors a bit lacking to make me want to come back. The food was decent, but I feel it could use a bit more seasoning to stand out.

FYI - doughnut shop (Smochi) has way more than just doughnuts (4 fried appetizers and 5 rice plate options)! We loved our food from Ya! Daebak, especially the rice dogs (black sesame plant-based rice dog was THE BEST, 10/10, will be back for more), and next time we will also order from Smochi. I didn’t even look at Smochi because we were going for dinner food, and only realized afterwards how many options their menu has (the pumpkin croquette curry sounds so good!).

Made it to the soft opening. Fun concept of having 3 different restaurants sharing the same space. We tried a couple of drinks in this visit and they were alright. The yogurt drink was very sweet and the black sesame latte from Capture was missing the black sesame flavor. It also felt a bit overpriced for what you got. Will go back to try the food and may update my review

This place is extremely underwhelming with restaurants that Fremont already has an excess of. The atmosphere / interior design / color scheme looks extremely cheap and looks like a hospital cafeteria. It’s honestly really depressing. There are Korean corn dogs right around the corner at Megamart - I feel as though we didn’t need more? We didn’t really need a mochi donut spot either. What Fremont is really lacking is something different and unique. A really good Italian or middle eastern food pop up would’ve been nice. I don’t see these places lasting for very long other than the coffee shop.
