Its a strange blend between fancy restaurant and a rave thats honestly a little silly. also be careful with the heat of the flame you get because whatever they set it to is kinda random, so if you dont check you might end up absolutely burning your first round of food cause they left it on max, id recommend setting it at the half way mark.

A Standout Dining Experience with a Disappointing Ending

I’ve dined all over from Orange County to the Bay Area and I can confidently say that the service I received from gen team was some of the most top-notch I’ve ever experienced in the industry. The attention to detail was impeccable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, constantly checking in to ensure our food was perfect and that we were enjoying ourselves. The bussers were equally impressive, keeping our table spotless and making the whole experience feel seamless and elevated.

The food was outstanding, and I genuinely looked forward to coming back again. However, I must share two points that deeply impacted an otherwise amazing experience.

First, I stepped away to the restroom for about 10 minutes, only to return and find that our table had been given away despite the fact that my young son was still there waiting. A manager informed me that our table was “desperately needed,” which felt rushed and inconsiderate, especially given the caliber of service we’d received up until then.

Secondly, during a birthday celebration at a nearby table, pots and pans were banged loudly as part of the staff’s cheer. While I understand the intention was festive, the sudden noise triggered my PTSD and caused intense distress, which sadly overshadowed what had been a truly enjoyable meal.

Gen the service team were phenomenal, and I want to acknowledge them for making most of the evening so special. I would love to return, but I hope management can be more mindful of these types of experiences in the future to ensure all guests leave feeling as great as they were made to feel during the meal itself.

The barbecue was absolutely delicious, with tender, smoky meats and flavorful sides that hit the spot. The service was friendly and fast, making the whole experience even better. Definitely one of the best barbecue spots I’ve been to—highly recommend!

Honestly, this place isn’t great. The service was all over the place, staff looked confused, couldn’t seat people properly, and kept messing up orders. It wasn’t even that busy when I went, which makes it worse. I’ll be skipping this spot.

Great spot for all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ! The meat selection is solid, everything’s well-marinated. It can get loud and the wait times are long during peak hours, but it’s worth it. Definitely coming back! The only drawback is our server rarely checked on us, forgot the side dishes and the meat came slow. We thought it was because we came on peak hours. But when another server came to replace him, the service was totally very different. He asked if we ever got our side dishes, he checked on us often. So yes, definitely coming back!

I had Jose Ibanez as my server today and he did a fantastic job. He brought us everything we asked for very quickly and made sure to check in with us every few minutes. Very pleased with the service and had a great time. The manager Jonathan was also very friendly and professional. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The quality of the food has gone downhill. The kal bi has no flavor and is tough. The brisket tasted grainy and freezer burned.

They ran out of jap chae. The salad is now a spring salad instead of romaine. Rice paper is hard.

Gen Fremont was good and packed years ago but it’s not busy anymore likely because the quality of the food went downhill.

Tv screens are off or blackened.

I think it’s $35-$40 for the all you can eat. Check this out. Charge $50. I’ll happily pay $50 so I can get what I ask for without resistance. I’m 235, Don’t deliver 4 tiny spareribs to me and my friend that we then have to cook up. We hungry. We want 6-8 spareribs at a time. If you’re losing money then raise the prices. Is what it is. The employees looked terrified to bring us more and it was like pulling teeth. Cmon.
