There were no dishes that I could recommend. The bitter gourd champuru in the photo was not sufficiently stir-fried and the seasoning was not good. The other grilled tebichi I ordered was not good at all. The cooked rice, which is called Okinawan rice, has ordinary appearance and ingredients, and the Nankotsu fried chicken is okay, but it's not at a level that would be worthy of praise in Japan. Other customers were eating soki soba and curry rice, so those might be delicious.
Loved their food, and workers are approachable and kind.
Dietary restrictions: Their meal are healthy and just enough serving per meal.

The waiters were fast and polite, and the food was better than advertised. I love the takoyaki and dragon roll. Will come back in the future.

Restaurant that serves Okinawa food. Had the Okinawa noodles (broth with noodles and a piece of meat), takoyaki, okra, agadashi tofu. Everything was fresh and tasty. Others in the group had the curry, karage, and gyoza and said the curry was very good. Excellent service and everyone at the restaurant was extremely kind. There is seating at the front with additional seating in the back. Would recommend for large groups!

It's a place where you can enjoy warm and delicious Okinawan food, so there's no reason for people from Japan not to come here! ?
I really want you to go here thinking you have been scammed! ! ?
It will exceed your expectations in many ways! ! ?

This place used to be a Japanese/sushi restaurant and then changed to a Taiwanese restaurant, and NOW it is a simple Japanese restaurant run by Japanese people (the chef is from Okinawa). They have a menu of authentic Japanese comfort food with daily specials. It’s a smaller establishment and everything is made fresh to order so things are brought out as they are made. Think of eating at an auntie’s house. I’ve only been here twice for lunch on a weekday with a friend so service is good but I can imagine service being considered average if there are larger parties or if they’re busy.
Otherwise I’d still highly recommend coming to try their food because it’s delicious. I’m usually not big on Japanese curry but I am absolutely obsessed with their pork katsu curry. I’ve seen other dishes come out at other tables that look great too. Ramen, salads, chicken karaage. Just all so homey and the vibes make you feel like you’re dining in a little restaurant in Japan.

We were disappointed. The menu was small- few food options. Some of the food portions were small because they were mostly sauce with little substance. The curry sauce amount was way more than needed. There were only a couple of vegetarian options and not all dishes can be modified to be vegetarian. The veggie curry was mostly sauce, with few vegetables. We weren't excited about the ramen either. The kids in our group enjoyed their chicken karage. It was served on a bed of fresh spinach. No one wanted to eat the spinach since it was coated in grease from the chicken. The meals came out one at a time as they were cooked. We were a party of six. The first person was finished with their meal before sixth person received their food. The first couple people to receive food waited several minutes to see if the other meals would be delivered; but eventually started eating. Staff was friendly. Drink options were also limited. There was water, soft drinks, and some alcoholic drinks, including sake. They have hot tea, but not iced tea. They have only been open a couple of months. Maybe the menu will expand over time.
Even though the menu options listed here say that there is sushi; there was not any on the menu. The menus on Google are from the previous Japanese restaurant at this location. So they are no longer accurate.
I see that some people say this restaurant is Okinawan and others say Taiwanese.
I wish the new owners success.
Good food and reasonable prices.

They have opened for a month and is already one of the best rated restaurant in Fremont. Service is wonderful and the food tasty. They keep and change up menu depending on availability so I think lunch will be your best bet to enjoy all their courses as they could run out at dinner!
Wonderful and relaxing outdoor seating. Highly recommend - and please try the peanut tofu - peanut is nicely blended into the tofu to make it extra creamy and thick!!
