Delicious and many diverse vegetarian and non veg options! The tempura is very light (fresh oil) and delicious and love that they give you edamame for the table. A nice extra touch!

I heard that this place opened recently, which is about 1.5 years now. The place looks alright since that’s how a Japanese restaurant typically looks like especially if it’s small.I was quite surprised how big the serving size is from the Chicken Teriyaki dinner plate (didn’t finish it). No wonder it’s expensive. The food tastes fresh and nice, but I honestly believe that they should lessen the salt of the edamame. Also like the taste of sashimi and California Roll.

I grew up in the area and would always come to this spot since I was 16 Years old, but due to a previous issue with them, I hadn't returned in 2-3years and finally decided to give them another try.I told my friends about Koya Sushi because I figured, it's been awhile, maybe they're better now and I remember their prices being pretty affordable! A few of us wanted the AYCE sushi so the server told us about this deal where we could split the sushi. 1 full price order, and we could share it with a friend and all they'd have to pay was 15 dollars or so. We said yes, we'd like to do that, it sounded like an amazing deal! She went to get an approval from her boss and came back saying that they don't do that deal anymore after she just told me that they did. -I thought this was strange!- (this adds to context for later)We are almost done with our second round of sushi and my friend bites down on something really hard, all of us at the table hear it, turn, and ask if she's okay, and that she should spit whatever it was out. Turns out, it's a piece of glass that was in her sushi! We bring it up to the staff there at the time and all they have to say is"we don't know what that is", and they wanted to take it away, but before they did something told me to take a video. Always Get Proof! After the rest of us finish our meal, we begin asking for a refund for the friend who had glass in her sushi. One person said that the boss isn't here, then she says I don't have his number, and that she doesn't know the next time he'd be back. Huh? So we asked another Cashier person if she had the number and she called him and told him that it was a hard piece in there and all he wanted to discount us was 7$ from the meal. By this time, we are all very mad. We aren't the type to cause issues where none need to be, but A few of us had worked in restaurants before and would never treat our customers like that.WE GOT HIS NUMBER AND CALLED HIM, he immediately hung up on my friend and ran to the door to meet us from the back(I thought he wasn't there) p.s. we had seen him serving tables just before the incident. He asked us to show him the piece of glass, but his servers took it(our mistake for not taking it, but at least I had my video) He kept saying over and over that it was a piece of rice in the video, but there was a part that showed the translucency of the glass and we showed him that, then he said It's fish bone, then he said it was a piece of chopstick that broke off. IT WAS NEITHER! My friend saved the sushi that she had to spit up and was checking to see if there were any more little pieces of glass. He then asked her if he could dig through her spit up food(bare handed) to double check. After this, he made us dig through other people's dirty plates claiming that the dishes hadn't been washed yet and so our plates would be in there. We checked and none of the plates were ours(so we dug through dirty plates for no reason at all) it was humiliating because he had us do this in front of all the other customers that were in there and everyone kept staring at us! He then began to gaslight us when we couldn't find anything that there actually was none and that we just wanted to get free food, because we asked to split the sushi(his server brought it up, we had no knowledge that places did that) , he told us that we are just trying to get free food and assured him that it's not about that at all. I even told him, I have a debit card that I am using to pay for everyone's food, I am not broke, but it's just ridiculous to have to pay for food that had hazardous material in it and go through hell and back to prove it, evidence or not.I wish I could add the video here.

Lots of options on their menu! We ordered a few different rolls and really enjoyed all of them. The service was great and speedy. They even give you ice cream at the end!

Waited for 2 hours for Valentine’s day dinner, and they never made my food. They should’ve not taken my order if they were that busy!! Totally ruined my Valentine’s day. ?

This is a great sushi spot to stop by if you're in the mood for fresh fish whether it's in the form of sashimi or hand rolls or sushi. We frequent this sushi restaurant for the great service and food. Even when the restaurant gets busy, the staff still tries their hardest to attend to each table in a timely manner. We highly appreciate it!

New spot in town ! So down ! Got here on a Friday night for dinner and we were seated quite promptly on the count that it was dinner rush. If there are many people waiting they have you sign in on a list located near the door. The restaurant is small and seating will be close to other guests! As we got seated the waitress had offered for drinks right away and I had asked for tea. I must say, I didn't know if I happen to have gotten the last batch that was made but it was more of water that had a hint of tea. We were also given complimentary edamame to snack on while we waited for the main dishes. What we orderedAppetizers -Deep fried oysters-The presentation is nice, they balled them up nicely & breading was exceptionally crunchy. Although, something about the texture of the inside of the oysters and the breading didn't quite mesh well chewed together. The spicy mayo sauce provided was not too flavorful. -Takoyaki-This! I can genuinely say that I have never liked this dish. Until now. It was not over cooked and biting inside was like a fluffy cloud. I give a lot of appreciation for the decently sized octopus piece in the middle of the ball.-Miso Soup-It was okay. I did wish it had a bit more of the miso paste cooked in for flavor.Main entrée-Firework Roll- deep fried goodness !! (still good the day after just in case you were wondering)I like that the pieces are elongated horizontally vs widely put together vertically. Because us girls with small mouths can't get all of that in our mouth. (lol That's what she said!) As you read the menu and the ingredients for it .. yes everything blended together in harmony and the presentation of it all was very pretty. -Mango Crunch-Would definitely recommend this as well, it was not one of my dishes but tried. Very hefty pieces! The staff was very attentive, I always love sushi places that would refill your drinks without you having to ask. Their to-go orders were flying off the shelves, that's also how you know a place is great! We ended our night there with complimentary strawberry ice cream. Defaulted to delicious and creamy.Overall , must try place If you've never been ! Not to mention it will not break the bank on cost!

Great portion sizes for the prices. We stopped by for lunch and the restaurant was lively and the servers were very friendly. We were able to be seated right away since we came during the later half of lunch. I had the 2 roll combo with spicy tuna and the shrimp tempura roll. We also ordered the jalapeño bombs which were really packed with flavor. The vibe of this spot was great for families or couples since we saw an even amount of both at the time we came in. Our food took a little longer to come out but it was fine since we had the soup and salad to hold us over and it was a fairly busy time once 3 o'clock rolled around as there were a couple of larger groups that came in.

I walked in and placed a takeout order. The host was very friendly and prompt to help me. The restaurant looked clean and decently modern. There was one other group seated and eating. After placing my order, the host told me it'd be about 20 minutes, so I waited in my car. I ordered a tuna roll, mango roll (non spicy), chicken gyoza, and cucumber salad. The cucumber salad has potential. But lacks depth. It has a mellow wasabi flavor, and that's it. The chicken gyoza was delicious. The rice in my rolls didn't feel fresh. The fish was fresh though. There was also only mango in half of my roll, and not the whole thing. I'll consider trying them again in person to see if that improves the rice texture.

Ambiance is small space and full of tables. Lucky for us, when we enter the restaurant one table was vacant. We sit in after wait 1 min or less. Service is good and workers are very busy. They tried their best to serve everyone. They did good job. Foods that we ordered. All are satisfied tasty. But their hot tea is not good. It tastes like overcooked or burn flavor. Will not drink hot tea again We definitely will come back again but will not order hot tea
