I ordered Korean buffalo wings but they gave me soy garlic wings, this has happened 2 times already. The wings weren’t even flavorful. The sauce that came with the wings did not taste good.

Not quite feeling a burger and want something hearty with some Asian fusion? Koja is your calling! Crispy rice patties with succulent meat previously marinated and seasoned to fill each bite with a burst of flavors is what you'll find in each Koja sandwich. Pair it with one of their loaded fries and you'll be full for a good few hours. Or share with a friend and have enough space in your stomach to grab a light dessert afterwards.Beef Koja is my go to as I like how the juicy pineapple goes with the deliciously flavored meat. The combination of textures with each bite make it pleasurable to eat; great mix of soft, tender meat, crunchy yet moist rice, and sweet, tanginess of the pineapple make you crave for more after you're done (and I would if I could fit more in my belly!)The loaded waffle fries are filling and are well balanced between the meat and potatoes. Great as a shareable side or a light afternoon snack.Ordering is straightforward through their kiosk and the staff here are friendly. The place is clean so if you decide to dine in, it'll be comfortable and you'll have plenty of options afterwards for dessert or activities (it's right across the theater).Overall, I am grateful to have a Koja so conveniently located in central Fremont to satisfy those rice patty burger cravings as well as fill me up on those errand runs. The food and service is consistently good; just hope the prices stay competitive!

The ambiance and service were cute. The food? Based on just the burger I ate, ehhh. The BBQ Korean burger was so dry, I had to wash it down with some In-N-Out Animal Style fries. I'm just nitpicking at the dry pieces of meat from the burger now. Flavor just wasn't there either.

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I was very surprised at how quickly my food was ready. The food itself was a generous portion, and very fresh.

CAL COMBO ITEMSI've been to the Dublin location. The one item I loved was the beef short rib whether it was The Original Koja or rice bowl. The beef short rib is meaty while absorbing the flavors. I went to the Fremont location around two years ago for pickup where I ordered a short rib bun burger, crispy chicken bowl, and Korean Buffalo wings. I liked all three dishes and planned to come to the Fremont location again. Four weeks ago I came to this Fremont location. To my surprise there was a new type of menu Cal Combo that consists of four items. As a Cal alum since it's college football season I thought the Cal Combo menu was intriguing. I decided to order Item No. 3 - Short Rib Cal Combo. For that combo I decided to get the rice bowl. The short rib was flavorful and moist. With the fried egg along with the kimchi this rice bowl a hearty dish. The Cal Fries are similar to waffle fries. The sauce on the Cal Fries has a creamy texture. The next week I came here Saturday night after Cal beat Arizona State. From the Cal Combo menu I ordered the Item No. 4 - Taco Cal Combo. I was thinking about getting pork for the taco. At the last moment I choose chicken for the taco along with a side order of soy garlic wings. Basically I made it a double chicken meal. The chicken tacos were disappointing. The chicken tasted cold. In addition the tortillas weren't warm and soft. This sounds weird, but if I had decided the pork tacos I wouldn't have ordered soy garlic wings. I've ordered from soy garlic wings at other eateries. Those soy garlic wings I've ate in the past weren't great as the sauce was too sticky and the meat was over cooked. The soy garlic wings I ate at Kojo Kitchen were probably one of the best I've had as the sauce wasn't too sticky and the meat was moist. Even though the soy garlic wings were a side order I enjoyed them better the chicken tacos.Despite that one dish I've enjoyed all the dishes I've ordered at this location in Fremont. Whether the items are from the Cal Combo or Koja section if I'm craving for a beef short rib I'll come to eat at Koja Kitchen.

I was craving some kind of meat over rice bowl and found this place on Yelp. I was pleasantly surprised! I got the beef bowl with fries on the side. I didn't look that hard at the ingredients/toppings but I'm not that picky so I was ready to just go with it. The beef was good and I was happy with the amount for the price. Kimchi had good flavor, not that I'm expert. I liked the little crunchy stuff added on top of the rice and appreciated the spring mix under the meat. The rice was a good texture too. Not super sticky like sushi rice but kept it shape enough that I was able to eat it with chopsticks. The fries on the side were also a surprise and yummy! They had a spicy red sauce, some kind of creamy sauce, Korean beef pieces and chopped up kimchi. They were well fried so they held up to all the sauce and stuff put on them without going soggy. Food came out fast and I ate in the restaurant. It was clean and pleasant enough for a quick meal.I'll definitely back to try their loaded up spam masubi and some other items.

Drive by this place often, but never gave it a chance until today. Ordered the braised pork Koja and the Kamikaze Fries, both were super yummy! Kamikaze Fries had a nice spicy kick to them and the pork Koja was a nice take on a fusion burger that I’ve never experienced before! Nice clean restaurant, can’t wait to come back and try different items from the menu!

Food: 8/10The beef bowl is delicious and it has a good combination of sweet and salty flavors. A large portion of the bowl is just greens so I would've preferred more kimchi or beef in the bowl. The kamikaze fries are so delicious. The sweet and salty sauce along with kimchi and meat perfectly complements the crispy fries! Ambiance: 10/10This restaurant is very spacious and outdoor tables too! The food comes out super fast ( i waited around 8 minutes!). The employees are also very friendly :)

I did a pickup a order and it was quick, correct, and packaged well so lots of points for that! The parking isn't too bad in the area and they have plenty of outdoor seating. Inside, the ambience is upscale casual vibes. The food is fresh and tasty with a good amount of variety. Recommended!

Went to Koja Kitchen for the first time. It was not crowded at all. Should have taken that as a sign of upcoming utter disappointment. Went to order, told the lady that we are here for the first time, to help us with the order. Which she didn't even bother to do. So we place the oder and spent $50. When our food came it was cold, the chicken was cold. I told her that my food was cold. She came up with all the useless and senseless excuses. One was that I must have added the sauce that is why the chicken got cold. I said I didn't even touch the sauce yet. So I stopped there and took only 4 bites. And same my we left our entire food in the tray and throw it. I was so excited to go after reading the reviews. Great disappointment!! Never ever again!! I wish I could get my money back or rewind the time and go to a better place that never disappoints like Habit Burger or The Kabab Shop!

First time customer - tried the Original Koja burger with 'rice buns'; wanted fries with that and was recommended the Cali fries. With a 15% tip it came to around $19. The burger was great and had a good amount of meat in it. The fries were good but did not warrant the charge for me. Very friendly staff and the place was kept quite clean. Will try the rice bowl the next time.

The food was much sweeter than Korean food I am used to. The Soju had a bad aftertaste, and I realized later, it was due to the artificial sweetener. Good quality of food. I love Japanese food, but this was not up to my standards. The food looks good. My daughter loved the food, but my wife and I disagree. Service was good.
