Saw an old guy (staff) smoking in the store!!! The bread is expensive and not delicious. Also they require at least eight dollars for card. The whole environment does not look clean enough for me. Was recommended by a friend, but pretty disappointed.

This is not an actual bakery, they don't bake anything there. It's just a store where they sell factory made pastries delivered to them. They may be putting the cakes together though, which probably come to them in pieces like furniture from IKEA. The cakes are super dry and not worth $50, it's crazy! They are all the same no matter the flavor, just generic thick pieces of sugarless dry sponge cake that you can't eat without a beverage because you'll choke, covered in different flavors of mild and light frosting. I honestly think they don't soak the sponge cake in anything (as it's supposed to be) because it decreases its shelf life. So instead they elect to sell dry and flavorless cakes that can last longer on their shelves. Customer service vise they are nice but they rush you out of there so you don't really have much time to browse, which some ppl who don't have Asian pastries often may want to do.

We had the chocolate cake and strawberry mousse cake. Absolutely delicious! The size of the cake was perfect too! The cakes were not overly sweet too. I’d highly recommend buying cakes here!

I placed an order througha delivery service which I will not name at the moment because it was not their issue. My order was to be a surprise for a family member I even went as far with the surprise to make the oder through 1 of my besties sister account to avoid spoiling the surprise. Well our delivery driver messaged us letting us know they would not allow him to leave with our order because he didn't have the confirmation number which he did next to our order info, he screen shot it for me to see exactly what they were looking at. I tried calling they would not answer or take his phone to speak to us. They proceeded to speak in their language which is perfectly fine but not to be rude especially when running an establishment. So rude I felt so bad for our driver who was Hispanic like myself. I'm sorry to say but in my opinion they are not only rude but also racist. My driver was in disbelief and so apologetic which was not even his fault and offered to get us another cake from a different establishment. Of course we said no it was not his fault we were sorry to him and sent him a fat tip and full pay for the order. Pls do not go to Mary's bakery you will be deeply disappointed.

We bought a custom order birthday cake. Quality and taste were so poor. Cheap dyed toppings. I would have gotten way better cake from Safeway for fraction of the cost.

This is a neat little gem of a local bakery offering both Western and Chinese style sweet and savoury baked goods. Their cakes and buns are phenomenal, and their Taiwanese wife cakes and egg tarts are a must get! I've been coming here for years and their quality has stayed consistently high. The staff are all very friendly and proactive. Prices are also pretty good. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Horrible attitude and service! This is the first time I have given a negative feedback in Google. I have been here several times with no problem. Then I decided to order the birthday cake for my daughter here - worst decision. I came in on that day saying “Hi, I am here to pick up the cake.” The younger lady probably had a bad day or something, out of nowhere she basically yelled at me saying “Where is your receipt?! You didn’t even show me your receipt!” The attitude was so bad that even the other ladies there were surprised. I pulled out the receipt and asked her why she gave me that attitude. What did I do to deserve that attitude. The she changed her face and started to chat with me in a normal manner. And then we found out they didn’t make that cake! Thinking back I suddenly understood, so she yelled at me because she wasn’t expecting anyone to pick up a cake that afternoon because they totally forgot about it! They did deliver the cake to my house afterwards because of the delay. But I am never going back to this place again. Please treat people with basic respect!
