Risotto with scallops is the reason we go - DELICIOUS! Last night we took friends. We all ordered Ceasar salads for 2 which should be made table side but wasn't - no big deal. Then to dessert. We ordered cherries jubilee also to be made table side. Out comes 4 dishes already made???? What? Waiter says kitchen mistake? How? Next they made two other tables desserts tableside. Frustrating!
We love the bar seating. Service from John is always wonderful! Drinks and food are fabulous! Definitely a (our) go to for a great meal.
We celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday here and had a wonderful experience. The service was truly above and beyond! David was exceptional, and the entire staff made sure we were well taken care of. The food was outstanding, especially the branzino, which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
This is an upscale restaurant in Fremont. Food is excellent; service is prompt and good. We will come back.
Great dinner.had a group of 7 food was brought out all on time n hot .quality was outstanding.
Unfortunately, this will likely be our last visit to Massimo's. The service during our New Year's Eve dinner was unacceptable and far from the experience we were expecting for such a special occasion. We were asked for the name on our reservation three separate times, and our table was still being set up while we stood next to it. My wine order was forgotten, we waited nearly 50 minutes for our main course, and I had to ask for bread—which was only brought after we had already finished our meal. To make matters worse, I was served the wrong dessert (though an extra dessert was eventually offered). Overall, the evening was disappointing and poorly managed.
Food was ok, but for the cocktail menu they did not have the ingredients for the cocktail two nights f us ordered; bad planning for a special night
Spent Xmas dinner there with set menu. The restaurant setup was good, but the table we got was wobbly. We ordered fried calamari as extra starter which was super greasy on the bottom. Main courses were reasonable but the Apple cranberry bread pudding was terrible. It was super dry and hard. Probably the worst bread pudding ever. We walked away with around $100 per person, and it was way over priced with the quality of food, overall environment and service.
Old-school Italian. Very nice service and some decent wine choices.

Always a wonderful experience. Started with the table side Caesar salad, which would fantastic. Ordered the Bronzino special and he said it was very fresh. My favorite is always the rigatoni à la Massimo.
Only our second time at Massimo's but we'll be back for many years to come. They went above and beyond for our parents 75th birthdays and made it such a special night for our family. And the food and ambiance with the live music was the chefs kiss.

Went to Massimo's for an anniversary dinner. The food was excellent, service outstanding server Sunny was just a delight, very attentive. made sure our dinner was a wonderful evening. Note we have eaten at Massimo's many times, it's our go to place for special dinners, and we've had Sunny serve us before.
The best staff ever, David was our waiter and was phenomenal ! Plus the owner was very charming to Frank & Sharon and friend Mary.
Service was great and everything we ordered came out quickly. Everything tasted fantastic from the bread to the desserts. Would highly recommend.
