Sushi for what it is, it’s not great. We got nigiri platter, hit and miss. The rolls weren’t great.Sukiyaki broth was okay, but that’s pretty much it.Also chip is stale. If you want good sushi, this isn’t the place, take your money elsewhere. Will not return.

Good sushi at reasonable price. It was quite busy though I was doing a take out. Sitting arrangements were comfy and the ambience inside was relaxed.

It's a very popular place in Fremont, love their sushi and their special rolls. The staff are nice and friendly but unfortunately, it's very busy at weekends and ordering food for pickup takes at least an hour since they don't have enough staff for all the orders.I recommend Dragon, Crazy and Tokyo rolls

I keep coming for their lunch bento meals. The right combination I want, sushi + tempura + chicken. Service is what you expect at a small diner with just 1 or 2 waiters. Sake or Japanese beer available

Hidden gem that's right off the freeway in Fremont. We were driving by and needed something quick, and ordered the salmon sashimi set and chicken karage... Absolutely incredible and my partner (who is a picky eater) says it is the best chicken he's ever had, and paired with the sauce, it was incredible. My salmon was fresh and came with 10 pcs, but the portion sizes were the biggest I have ever seen. I've been to Japan quite a few times and I've never had such large salmon sashimi pieces until now at Mioki.Situated in an assuming plaza that we would have missed if I wasn't hungry--so I'm so glad we found this place. The service and food has swept me away. Don't change a thing, because we'll be back!

It was a typical weekday, nothing special about it, and we came here for lunch. Pretty quiet in the restaurant and a good number of spots in the lot shared by Walgreens and McDonalds. Ordered and ate some food and well...Mioki is just Miokay. We started off pretty excited for some sushi and were seated in a booth toward the kitchen. We were served iced water with a lemon slice. It was appreciated as it refreshed us on a hot summer day. Aside from the booth seating, there were a few bar seats as well but it was a slow time of the day and the only other party dining in was in a booth toward the entrance. We took some time to decide what to order due to the sheer size of the menu. Different combos, rolls, and other a la carte dishes give you plenty of options to choose from; there's something for everyone. After a few minutes, we settled on a beef teriyaki with nigiri and sashimi lunch combo and a cherry blossom roll. Surprisingly, they don't actually let you choose the nigiri - they just give you salmon nigiri and tuna sashimi. It was a bit underwhelming despite the many options for nigiri that is available. We did debate about getting the Mioki combination which came with an entree and a specialty roll but since it didn't include the cherry blossom, it was a non-starter. Compared to the lunch special, it seemed a bit less food for the price. The food came fairly quick and was presented beautifully. Everything tasted great although the beef teriyaki's sauce was a bit on the salty side for me. The raw fish were at good temperatures and were meaty. The salad was decent and the rice was cooked well. The cherry blossom roll was the star of the table, however, in terms of presentation and taste. Topped with red and orange masago (fish roe), each bite had a good combination of textures and flavors. Dipped in some low sodium soy sauce mixed with their wasabi and radish strings, it was a decadent bite after bite.We enjoyed our food for the most part but the service was just so-so. You would think that being one of the two parties dining in and with an abundance of staff standing around waiting to make orders, you'd think they'd check on you a bit. Not here until perhaps you're ready to pay! They do have clean bathrooms but it's right next to the kitchen and the door out back. It's not a pretty sight walking down the corridor there but if nature calls, at least you'll be able to do your business in a clean setting.Overall, I'd only really recommend Mioki if you're getting the rolls. They have a frequent buyer card that only applies to rolls. Otherwise, there are plenty of other good sushi places to visit around here that have better service and quality of food.

Service was nice! The workers are so friendly. It's a cute little sushi spot. The sushi was really good. We been wanting good quality sushi and this place did not disappoint. We got a salmon nigiri, spicy tuna roll, dragon and one roll was a fried salmon roll! I've never had a roll like that. It was big and filling. Great quality, great service! Will definitely be back :) thank youuuu

One of my favorite Japanese spots to go to. Never had any serious issue with the food (ex: raw 6 the quality is great. Sometimes I dine there and can be forgotten by the waitress, BUT the small place can pack up quickly, so I'm patient/ prefer ordering to go. The staff are always nice. The Downside is that food is pricey, but the quality and taste make it worth itThis is 1 of the best places to have Japanese food.

Oh wow!!! This restaurant was so much fun. I've been a little delayed in all my reviews due to the hustle and bustle of the end of summer, however, our experience at Mioki was so perfect, I just have to write them a review. We came in after a long day of messing around at Home Depot, and the fam wanted sushi, of course... so we tried Mioki. To our surprise the staff was absolutely amazing, the food came out extremely fast, and the portions were the best we've been served in the east bay. I definitely will be making this a regular dining spot and we had so so much fun. It was crazy how much sushi we had leftover too. That never happens! I'll be sure to add photos so you can see how huge the rolls are, and how many short ribs they prepared. My phone is taking forever to upload and I really really want to share my pics with you! Highly highly recommend you try Mioki out.

SAKE BUTTER GOOD & VEGETABLE TEMPURAWhen I first searched Mioki Sushi the one picture that really looked seducing was the sake don. Once I had that dish at another restaurant, but I didn't like it as there was too much rice and the slices were skimpy. What really lured me with the sake don from Mioki Sushi is the fat lines on the salmon like fat marbling on a steak. The first time I came to Mioki Sushi I didn't order the sake don as I wanted to try another main entree, which was katsu donburi. I ordered that item as at that time I was craving for something breaded and deep-fried. For appetizers I ordered shrimp and vegetables tempura. When I got the tempura appetizer I thought it was going to be another regular tempura. I was wrong. The vegetable tempura was better than the shrimp tempura. As someone who doesn't like eating vegetables that says a lot. The breading was light and crispy. I like the shrimp tempura, but the vegetable tempura stood out. The katsu donburi on the other hand was a major disappointment for me; the meat was dry. One of my pet peeves in food is if the meat in a deep-fried item is dry. I couldn't enjoy the katsu donburi. If I came to Mioki Sushi specifically for the katsu donburi I wouldn't have come back again. My second time I came to Mioki Sushi was for the sake don. I like the vegetable tempura so much I ordered it again, but without the shrimp. When I ate the vegetable tempura again it reminded me why I like this dish as the vegetable were crispy. Also the breading wasn't oily and that's the reason why I ordered the tempura again. Usually when I order tempura at a restaurant once that means I didn't like it if I go back to that restaurant. The saki don exceeded my expectations. The sake tasted like butter. I know by the color and fat lines the salmon was farm raised. If the salmon tastes great who cares if it is not wild. The saki was sliced in thick chunks. The portion of the rice was enough. What I really liked was how the rice was seasoned well better than most sushi rice I've eaten. I look at the sake don at Mioki Sushi as a sushi bowl. After my second visit I didn't think about coming back here soon. As this eatery is a sushi bar I had to order sushi. My third time I came here for sushi. I wasn't thinking about ordering sake as sushi, but when I looked at the sushi menu I ordered the Sake Lover, which comes with 5-piece sashimi, 2-piece nigiri, and 6-piece maki. I also ordered the shrimp tempura. Even though I enjoyed the shrimp tempura I preferred the vegetable tempura. The item Sake Lover is appropriately named. If you really like salmon you get three different ways to eat it. Each time I ate the salmon there was a buttery texture. I'm not a tea connoisseur, but I enjoyed the tea at Mioki Sushi because the tea was toasted rice. I enjoyed this tea more than any jasmine tea I've had at Chinese restaurants. I never had toasted rice as a tea before, but after having tea at Mioki Sushi the first time I went to Ranch 99 to buy toasted rice tea.During my eating experience at Mioki Sushi the only item I didn't like was the katsu donburi, which I would rate it as a 2-star. The shrimp tempura was a 3-star. The vegetable tempura, sake don, and Sake Lover were all 5-star items. The overall rating I gave for Mioki Sushi is appropriately fair.

Was really in the mood for sushi but unfortunately this place did not hit the spot for me. I wasn't a big fan of the sushi that I got. The service was pretty good. I know they were a little busy so sometimes the staff would forget what we asked for but that was understandable since it was a busy night. The restaurant itself is pretty small and has limited seating options but it's very clean and nice.
