I'm always on the lookout for Malvani and Goan restaurants, and Mumbai Chowk is by far the best find!
We tried the fish thali and Malvani chicken, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and perfectly prepared.
The owner, Abdul, is incredibly warm and friendly, happily customizes meals to our taste, and personally checks in after meals to ensure everything is perfect.
The restaurant itself is spacious and spotlessly clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving flavorful Malvani food!

Went here with my friends, got the daily special, a fish curry our server recommended and Chicken biryani. Overall the food was good but that fish curry was phenomenal, flaky and buttery, pairing super well with the basket of naan which was a good value in my opinion. For the chicken it was a little disappointing because of the biryani had dry-ish chicken but still good flavor. The chicken daily special curry tasted very similar to a Tikka masala, still good but nothing special. overall it was a great meal, good service, and yummy food!

This restaurant is a gem for coastal Maharashtrian food. It's one of our favorite places for Indian food in the Fremont area. All the dishes we tried were delicious. We highly recommend their Maharashtrian non-veg entrées. The taste is worth coming back for.

My parents treated me to Indian food and WOW! it was delicious is an understatement! I could not get enough of the rice, fresh naan and curry! Clean, friendly staff and when I am back in town, this place will be my first visit! GO there already!

Samosa chat was disappointing. It has only samosas and chole sabzi. No shev, onions, chat
It was just samosas and chole

Don’t be fooled by the reviews about their food. Their fish is completely stale and inedible. The Bombil thali was SO bad that I could eat even one piece of the fish. One of us got an upset stomach after eating here. And we are native fish eaters. Even the vegetable in the thali was stale and stinking. When we told the server (since he asked for feedback) - that the fish is spoilt and inedible, he didnot feel the need to do anything about it. He kept passing the blame saying that main chef is out and the other chef will have to talk to the main chef etc. Why ask for feedback if you don’t really want to take it ?The owner seemed nice - he came and spoke to us in the beginning. Their exhaust system doesnot work, the entire restaurant was smelling of hot oil (that smell that frying food generates) and their AC was also not working. And instead of owning up to it, this smart server kept saying that everything is working well and on full blast but he wasn’t sure why the place felt like an oven. Overall this place is substandard and empty - I’m not surprised why. Their server lacks basic courtesy towards customers to top it off with horrendous inedible food. He just seemed off - he gave us one paper napkin (it was 2 of us) and was hesitant when we asked for more ? I have never eaten SUCH bad Indian food in the Bay Area.

The new location is much bigger compared to Newark and plenty of parking spaces.
Misal pav is my favorite dish here. The spice has a different kick for the Misal Pav. It is different compared to served in other restaurants in bay area.
The lunch combos looked good, yet to try myself.

Great food, highly recommended! I liked the biryani, balti chicken, and methi chicken. Also, they’re known for their fish.
