The best sandwiches in town hands down. So sad to hear they are closing. Love the folks who own it. Also a great source for true German beers. Why must all good things end so soon?!.

Hidden gem of a place in Fremont with great beer selections and a reuben sandwich to die for!

Definitely a different feel compared to most bay area shops: I'd recommend coming here to experience it.

Owner is a grumpy woman with absolutely no sense of service quality. Shop is open but I was asked to come back in two hours because she was to "busy"to take my order...

Like hanging out at a friends house. Enjoy a beer and board games while the owner fixes some of the best sandwiches in the Bay Area. A true gem, not to be missed.

If I could give 0 STARS, I WOULD! My friend and j were taking pictures in front of the store and this white man KEN came our and told us tonMOVE ALONG?! I honestly believe this to be a hate crime as we are all brown and he came and told us to leave, completely rude and hownwtly just uncalled for! I bekuve he was the owner, it's time for him to croak iykyk

Definitely rude lady behind the counter. overpriced sandwiches for what you get. Better off going to togo's. I ordered a reuben and asked if it can be put on dutch crunch, she said it won't taste good and she will keep it on rye. WTF? If im buying a sandwich, then you make it how I am requesting, not "what you think is best". She also asked if we would like our potato salad on the side. I was thinking "Oh cool she is giving us a complimentary potato salad". NOPE! when I paid I looked at the receipt it said $6.95. I asked her about it and she said "she has to pay her bills" and walked away. I'll never come back ever again even if it was the last deli on earth. Id rather go to the grocery store to buy some deli meats and make my own sandwiches. Im not surprised at how she is able to stay in business.... there is no full disclosure and she will nickel and dime you. Be careful.

What a unique gem in the East Bay! I don't know anywhere else you can get authentic German cuisine this good, in the area. So come for the bratwurst, come for the freshly sliced deli meats, come for the potato salad and definitely try the kraut! I prefer the sandwiches here; my favorites are "The Ultimate" and their "pastrami" on dutch crunch, with all the fixings. Some of the sandwich options you can order hot. The breads and meats are all sliced and prepped at the time you order, so be prepared to wait 5 minutes (and that's if there's no line). They also have a $1 charge for credit cards. There is seating outside, but the decor inside is so cute too!

One of the best Bratwurst meals I've had in a long time...Taste was comparable to my many visits to the Dresden Christmas Festival. Glad I tried this place after so many years. I had the Bratwurst platter which came with 2 Brats, hot potato salad, and boiled red cabbage. A Hefeweizen was also ordered.

What a gem - came here for lunch while visiting Fremont. Love the friendly service and the pastrami sandwich was bursting with flavor! Tried it with two different types of bread and both were delicious. I recommend calling an order in or simply wait patiently while your food is being prepped. 5 stars!

Not a good place to get a quick bite from, this woman will make you wait an eternity to get ONE sandwich, she's incredibly rude/bitter while behind the counter working and yells at her own patrons from across the counter that enter her restaurant too many at once because she's "overwhelmed" who are willing to waste a freaking dime on her and her prolonged awful attitude filled service that she honestly doesn't deserve. There are usually over 5 to 10 called in orders ahead of the people who are already in line waiting to order and that's all put onto her being the only person working and clearly refuses to hire help yet she continues to wonder why she's so stressed, then takes it out on other people when it's all on her. In the end, I ended up walking out because of how long I was waiting not even making it to the ordering part plus her rotten attitude which I assume is what happened to along with the 100's of other people who have done the same, she's even losing business because of her own actions!! Think twice about coming here, it's not worth the wasted minutes of your life.

In this day and age, you should really be wearing gloves… I ordered various deli meats, and each slice of meat was touched by her bare hands. The previous customer even paid cash, and no hand washing station in sight. It’s not really sanitary. I wouldn’t mind if I purchased uncooked meats that I intend to cook at home, but deli meats… come on.

Want a German sandwhich? This is the place. The nice grandma running the store has been running this deli and small market with imported goods for a long time! She may come off "stern" but she's the sweetest grandma! She makes awesome sandwiches. This is a hidden gem and will come back again for a sandwhich soon!

Very poor customer service that felt racist as she kindly finished up with her current customer then kicked us out so she could close on time (we arrived before closing). My wife was in a cast and the lady said her hip hurt. She didn't apologize, just kicked us out.
