We love this market - instead of having to drive to Cupertino for Japanese groceries, until today -we bought two packs of angus prime beef for hot pot and we found tons of fat trimming hidden at the bottom, this is clearly a cheating ! Please don’t do this else we lose trust in your business. I’m writing this hoping you will change your practice. We will still come to shop here but we will double check everything from now on.
Really like this market. big, bright, clean and good product and meat. you can get Mochi doughnuts here too plus ready made meals.
This is a good place to go when they have sampling events, depending on who you are working with, but might not have what you normally purchase at other stores. The lots can become full in a hurry, if you do not arrive early or before closing.
This is the kind of place where you might stumble onto a decent meal if you lower your expectations and keep an open mind. I did both, and it still managed to disappoint.
The beef came out warm at best, sliding into that uncomfortable territory between “recently cooked” and “forgotten on the counter.” Meat at that temperature tells a story, and none of it is good. It tasted as if it had been waiting for someone to care enough to reheat it properly. Nobody did.
The soup was worse. A murky, confused broth that somehow managed to be bland and unpleasant at the same time. It had the flavor profile of something boiled for obligation rather than enjoyment. You take one sip, pause, and think, “This did not need to exist.” That is not a reaction you want from hot soup in an Asian market.
The grocery section is fine. Functional. You can get what you need, and the shelves do their job. But grocery stores are supposed to be consistent. Kitchens require intention. The one here felt like an afterthought.
I left hungry, annoyed, and wondering how the food managed to land so far from acceptable. Would not recommend.
Nice place to go shopping
Love their wagyu
A lot of selection but the prices are only ok so hardly buy much
There is cafe, they sell worst beef skewers I ever tried in my life, that cow probably die of old age, undercooked and firm as stone. Just avoid it.
Love this japanese market always has great stiff and the crab mayo oniguri is the best
Top notch beef sliced and ready for grill. Authentic Japnese groceries and dishes to purchase. Can't wait for the new Foster City store so I won't have to drive to Fremont. Price of meat is slightly on the higher side, but the quality is hands down worth it. Drove 45 minutes to the store because the quality is so good.

The taste of the ramen truly reminds my family of Japan, if not better. We ordered the classic ramen, the one with the spicy shredded crab and garlic mushroom ramen. Of the three, the classic and the one with the shredded crab was good and both broth was rich. The garlic mushroom ramen was a bit strong in mushroom broth for my taste. We will surely revisit again.
Best market ever
Super clean market with excellent produce, quality meats, and good grade of seafood selection. Lots of prepared bento box foods, both for individual consumption or larger trays for parties. There's lots of Asian snacks, dry goods and a wide variety of kitchenware. The only thing is pricing run high. Other than that, it's a great market to shop for food and other consumables.
I love this place nice clean and a lot of Asian food some food ready to eat. Will stop by again.
The product quality is very good, worth buying.
