Putting politics aside this place is the best for Punjabi food hands down in USA. Being Indian, first time I ate here I was amazed for tasting home food away from Punjab a second time after eating dhaba food on i5 near Bakersfield iykyk. Second best place is karimi San Jose for Punjabi food. love the kadhai mutton and chicken Haleem in pakwaan. Wish they can introduce lamb paya in future.ask for free onion which can be dipped in mint sauce. Also the complimentary tea is the best hands down.

My family and I had a very unpleasant experience this evening with Mr Khan, an employee working at this restaurant. We picked up an order to go, but could not finish our meal because of how salty the food was. We called the restaurant to share our experience, but Mr Khan denied to “find our order”. Eventually after giving every detail possible about our names/time/items Khan mustered the competency needed to find our order. We began to explain how our food was too salty, and ruined our family dinner, but Khan was extremely rude, and essentially denied our experience because “no one else complained about the curry”. We were not seeking anything, except to explain our experience, but Khan essentially did not trust our taste buds. Met with so much resistance, we had no other option but to hang up. One of, if not the worst, customer service experiences we have had.

Authentic, delicious Pakistani food. We ordered their tandoori chicken, chicken malai boti, beef seekh kabab, chicken achar, and naan. Everything was on point!

We love the goat curry at Pakwan. Its a simple place and typically crowded but the food is worth it.

Pakwan was pretty clean, and the dishes were very reasonable priced given the size. We got the chicken Tikka masala and it was rich and creamy, while the saag gosht was a bit too salty but still quite good. I'm usually a big fan of Shalimar and would still say that Shalimar has better naan and saag gosht, but Pakwan was also quite good as well.

While the food here is terrific - especially the tandoori fish - the place can feel a bit chaotic at times.
