Horrible experience ever. I’ve been coming to this restaurant since they first opened with my family because it was local, but I never felt satisfied. I came here with my wife last week for lunch, and final had enough. We ordered the Yang Chow Fried Rice, and as soon as she took a bite, she immediately started to feel uneasy so I took her to the restroom. After she got out, she told me that she wanted to leave. One of the younger workers started to laugh at us. I was furious but did not want trouble as my wife was feeling sick. Food was way too pricey for the low quality foods I got. Plates are never fully cleaned (food still left on plate), bad service, and always getting charged extra for the bill for food I never got. Workers have a nasty attitude and always try to start an argument for no reason especially the women. I’m done. Never coming again, please do better.

Very traditional Cantonese style, foods are delicious and fresh, this place seems always busy, better to call first to reserve your place if you don’t want to wait for your table.

Food has gotten pricey while quality has been going down. One example is the porridge- we had semi raw chicken in ours and sent it back to be reboiled. Then we found a mosquito at the bottom of the porridge after we had finished all of it, and the manager we spoke to tried to convince us it was a piece of seaweed, not a bug. It is indeed a bug, and we have many photos. Will not be coming back here again due to poor quality of food, low sanitation, and lack of care from the team.

This place used to be called Asian Pearl and is changed to Pearl Bay.

Inside is big and bright, suitable for any Chinese events such as weddings.

Food is decent. The Turnip (Daikon) Cake (Lo Bak Go), Water Chestnut cake and the Taro cakes are all excellent. Not all the dim sum restaurants have the water chestnut cake and taro ones, this is one of the places that serve them and make them very well.

Their black sesame rolls are good too. It is hard to find at other Chinese restaurants too.

Their lettuce with garlic is great.

Their steamed dim sum (such as Har Gow or anything with the white skins outside) isn't as good. The outside skins are thick and they are supposed to be thin.

The Fung Jao (chicken feet) are also so-so, not tender enough. I have had better elsewhere.

The fried chicken wings are disappointing.

The bathroom is not that clean. Wish they keep it in much better shape considering the restaurant's dining area is so nice and elegant.

This is a very grand restaurant with fancy lighting and giant Tv in background. Great to use for hosting big dinner party.
Food tastes good. Very good authentic Chinese food. They serve dimsum at lunch which is very fresh. They offer very good deal set menu for 10 at dinner. One of the set menu for 10 is offered $488 in weekday which is best deal in town.
Waiter waitress are very attentive too so I would say this is a 5 star restaurant.

Yesterday, 12/31/2024, I had a year-end dinner with friends at SF Express in Duncheng. A total of 10 people booked a private box for a wedding banquet package of $1,280. The settlement after the meal included service charge 20% and tax. A total of $1,498.95 was paid. The average payment per person was $150.
This restaurant is really a steal. There are 10 dishes in total plus desserts. None of the dishes are made like wedding banquet dishes. The portions are extremely small and are served on ordinary serving size plates. The names of the dishes are clever and gorgeous, but the ingredients are actually very good. It's low-quality, fishy, tasteless and ugly, and it's not at all like the standard of cooking and serving guests in an ordinary restaurant. I asked the manager to explain it. Even though it's like this, it's strange that we shouldn't order the wedding banquet meal but order a la carte. I'm really speechless.
I would like to remind all diners to be careful not to make the same mistake again and forget about spending money. I was so angry that my whole New Year's Eve meal was ruined by this meal. I was really pissed off that I was so miserable at this restaurant.
