Portion is super small. Around half of what other pho restaurant. Taste is ok. Not recommend.
Pho was very good, I took a bite of the spring rolls, turns out the shrimp was expired praying I don’t get sick.

Pho Lan, a true family-run establishment in Fremont, delivers exactly what matters most in Vietnamese cuisine: spectacular, authentic flavor and generous value. While this isn't the spot for a luxurious, white-tablecloth experience, it is hands down the best place to find truly delicious pho and rice dishes in the area.
The primary reason to visit Pho Lan is the food, and they execute it flawlessly. The flavors here are deeply authentic, showcasing the care and tradition that only a family business dedicated to its craft can provide.
The Pho: The star of the show is, naturally, the pho. The broth is rich, complex, and clean—the hallmark of high-quality pho. It’s clear that the broth simmers for hours, resulting in a depth of flavor that many chain restaurants simply cannot replicate. Whether you choose a classic rare steak or brisket combination, the meat is fresh, and the portion size is substantial.
Beyond the Broth: While the pho is a must-try, the kitchen excels across the board. The rice dishes are equally noteworthy, featuring perfectly cooked meats and well-balanced marinades. If you're looking for Vietnamese food that tastes just like the dishes prepared in a traditional home, Pho Lan delivers.
Pho Lan offers excellent value. The portions are notably generous, ensuring you leave completely satisfied. In an age where many restaurants are shrinking servings, Pho Lan maintains a commitment to great portion size, making it a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner without breaking the bank.
It is important to manage expectations regarding the dining environment and service. As a dedicated, family-run operation, the entire focus is on efficiency and getting excellent food to your table quickly.
Ambiance & Service: This is not a restaurant built on trendy decor or overly solicitous service. The atmosphere is simple, casual, and functional. Service is efficient and straightforward, reflecting the priority of the kitchen over the front of house flair. If the quality of the food is your main metric, you will be thrilled. If you expect a high-end, polished dining experience, you might need to adjust your expectations. Pho Lan is an honest, no-frills location dedicated to its culinary mission.
Pho Lan is a Fremont treasure. It’s the kind of local spot that deserves strong community support because they consistently nail the most important element: the food.
For authentic flavors, generous portions, and truly delicious Vietnamese cuisine—from the masterful pho broth to the flavorful rice plates—Pho Lan is highly recommended. Come support this dedicated family business and enjoy some of the best Vietnamese food Fremont has to offer.

I’ve been here twice. The pho and the bun bo hue were exceptional! I’ve also tried the spring rolls and rice dishes others ordered, very good. Service was great, very kind owners, and nice interior.
I have not enjoyed bun bo hue anywhere since I frequented a spot in San Diego, but theirs hit the mark!

Food seems pretty good been there 4 xs.
Congenial friendly staff.
Bathrooms seem a liitte Funky..
There's always a mop in there filled with a bucket of dirty water.
There was no toilet paper in there
The toilets need to be repaired
Room next door had 4 barrel containers filled with a yellow liquid all uncovered
Decent local pho spot for the value--vermicelli bowl tasted solid. Interior could use some upgrades though. Easy parking in the plaza lot

Always very delicious but lately has been skimping on the meat they give in take-out orders. They never get my order wrong and serve quickly, however.

Decent, if not generic, place for Vietnamese food. I had the pork chop with broken rice and it was pretty good. The restaurant itself looks pretty rundown, however, with a lot of the decor being leftover pieces from the thai restaurant that occupied this space several years prior to Pho Lan. The ceiling also has a lot of visible mildew and sealant or something spread around that makes it look like it's in the process of being renovated, and the overall atmosphere is slightly dull. Other than that, however, it's quite clean. Staff was super friendly, however, and service was fast since there was only one other person other than myself there at the time as it was a weekday. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in the area and are craving Vietnamese food.

Family owned and run. Lovely humans run this place. Food was good without being spectacular. Its because the ingredients perhaps are not as fresh as they can be at a more trafficked place. The place can do with an olfactory upgrade including the stuff they use to clean up the tables between one guest vs the next.

A clean place to eat my lunch. The Bun Bo Hue (spicy pork noodle soup) is my fav. Just enough spicy and doesn't make you thirsty afterward. No pork blood for me. Very generous big bowl of soup.

Phon Lan became our regular soup place to go , run by Family they have great service , the food is very good and their pho is authentic
Pho + restaurant made chili oil. Pad Thai and other noodle dishes were not so great, just get #1 regular pho, won't go wrong. The Vietnamese egg rolls were also good, could use more lettuce for wrapping though.
