It's hard to find another place that serves taro milk tea (hot and cold) that as good as this place. You don't even have to adjust the sweetness because it's not mainly sugar but real taro flavor. Looking forward for this store to reopen again

This place used to be our ( my ex and my) favorite place to get our drinks, not just because the amazing custom made drinks the owner had put together for us but the way the owner made us felt so welcomed like we were buddies. While my handsome ex sipped on his mango smoothie and the owner played her piano, to entertain us, I was captivated and mesmerized by her music and that’s what made me realized I had fallen in love with my ex. I might not have my ex right now but I feel blessed that at least I was able to get a chance to experienced it. These memories will never be forgotten. Thank you. Hoping she (the owner did not the sale the place)

very strange Taiwan lady. I went here 1 year ago. The lady told us you Chinese always post negative reviews on Google. Please don’t do that. If you have something feedback, let me know. Very strange

The owner is so sweet! I came in 5min before closing and she was nice enough to still make me a drink. Also told me where to take a good pic of the boba to post lol

The woman who owns the place is the only reason for 3 stars. Definitely disappointed with the tea but she was very nice and the place is cute. We came here a coupleMonths ago. If I were back in the area I would stop by again just for her.

Fantastic boba tea. She is very knowledgeable about all items on the menu and will take the time to find something you like, will also change up the tea after you taste it if it does not suit your taste. Excellent service, atmosphere and taste.

This is the best milk tea I’ve had in the Bay Area. The taro is so good!

If u are looking for places to sit n have milktea, you gotta "STOP" and skip this place. The lady oversell her product and we ordered different drinks and only mentioned one without ice and what I got is not a single cube of ice in my thai ice tea. The drink was mixed already but I am very particular on Thai ice tea that I need to see ice and layers of the white and tea but none was there and taste like instant Thai tea powder for freaking $5, waste my money and waste my time to stopby just becoz I saw yelp has 4.5 stars!! The biggest mistake about yelp is lots of reviews are fake and I am seriously being honest on their drinks. Another drinks that I ordered with boba, she made us wait for more than 30mins, we tried see if we can change it while waiting, she refused and said she already made it (does it cost much to request to have another one?) but still have to wait for another 10mins on that becoz of the boba. She told us is blk sugar boba but the texture and taste not sweet and not soft. Last drink hot Earl grey, very lighted tea flavor.. not worth for this price at all. Even Starbucks will have two teabags in a cup of tea. But this place def disappointed us and just want to walk away without turning back. I must write this review because it will waste ur time and money to be in this place beside, no air circulation (no AC). I hate to go to a "pretended" fancy place that have no AC feeling at all and it was 25c out there. Disappointed, disappointed and disappointed!!!

I rarely find myself writing a review -- when a place is bad, I don't bother coming back or writing anything. When it's great, I remain a loyal customer! I went on Yelp in hopes of finding somewhere that had some Thai Tea, but great Thai tea. The Piano Tea House was on my radar because my location put me "close by" and the reviews seemed good. My boyfriend and I arrived and we were like eh, at first. But the lady who worked there was so so so NICE and informative. I described to her that I do like my Thai tea with a mild level of sweetness. And she delivered, wow! NOW, I cannot go anywhere to get Thai tea because nothing is close -- sheesh. The drink was cold (no ice), flavor was there, felt like I wasn't drinking sugar water/milk, artificial color (normally I'm disappointed), and it was the perfect color -- the color of the drink was a rich deep/darker orange (not tons of milk). I wish I took a picture but it was too good to stop for a photo lol. The lady claimed, if I wasn't satisfied then she can add or fix my drink to my liking. Amazing DRINK AND SERVICE -- there was no need to change anything(: left it as it was. The inside is not like other boba places -- bright colors or all white; etc. But, it's calming and cozy. I really loved it.

The owner is so incredibly sweet & recommends the best combos when you order. (Which I find super helpful at boba spots since there are so many flavor options.) Also she said when it's slow she gets practices the piano. (‿) I got a rose milk tea w lychee jelly & mango sago

Ichi, the owner, is very passionate about her tea and service. At first, her passion was almost a little too much for me, but as time went on, my colleagues and I really enjoyed her company and ended up staying longer than we had originally intended. Ichi allowed us to play the board games and on the piano and later performed for us while we sang. She was very sweet and she really made our night. I ordered the Dark Roasted Oolong Milk Tea. It wasn't very sweet, which was fine for me because I was able to taste more of the tea flavor. My other colleagues enjoyed their drinks as well. I believe they got the forest flower and the Framminh Tiger and they liked it. We'll be back again on another night. =)

Ordered the forest flower and it was delicious. The hubby got the passion green fruit tea and let me tell you, he finished it within minutes. Also drinks are only served with whole milk. Atmosphere was really nice and calming with live piano.

This used to be Taro Taro. I'm not sure if it's the same owner because they still have the Taro Taro sign on one side of store/light up and the receipt says Taro Taro. The first couple times that I came here, the owner was greeted you as you come in in an overly friendly manner. Those visits, I didn't end up getting a drink because as I was ordering, I found out that they ran out of boba. The last time that I came here, my friends and I were debating what we wanted so we decided to play one round of Uno while we contemplate what we wanted. Literally right when we about to finish our first game and before we had a chance to go order, the owner came up our table and tried to take our orders kind of friendly but aggressively at the same time. She took our order one at a time in a hurry and after each order, she pointed to the front to go and pay as she proceeds to take the next order at our table. It was the weirdest thing that happened to us in a boba shop but I could kind of understand from her side that she probably thought we were just a bunch of teens who were just going to sit in her shop and not buy anything. So as we ordered, we found out they didn't have boba again even though it's about 2 hours before closing and also they don't have ice for some reason (and for some weird reason, she kept telling my friend that it's okay, she didn't need ice?). I ended up ordering a jasmine milk tea with grass jelly since they didn't have boba and when I got my drink, I got a jasmine milk tea with grass jelly and a few boba balls on the bottom, while my friends who also wanted boba didn't get any boba, which was super weird. We ended up not really liking our drinks mostly because it was lukewarm since she doesn't have ice for some reason and milk teas or any boba drinks for that matter doesn't taste good without even some ice.

Yichi is literally the sweetest kindest person ever. This is my friends favorite boba place so we come here whenever possible. We literally commute an hour for good service and good boba. Please pay this place a visit it you can it's definitely worth it!!

I had a really uncomfortable experience here. I don't give out one stars other than to BOA but honestly, I did not have a good experience. Owner/Drink maker wouldn't let me leave the store unless she saw me stir up my Tiger Boba. She said it's house rules and then took it from me to stir it herself. She kept telling me she is going to do it now but she had already taken it from me. She also said you need drink some before you leave, what?? I'm your customer, not your child. I could had said no, and told her she is weird but I'm a push over. FYI there is no flavor in the boba as well. Wasted six dollars. Had to go over to Feng Cha after dinner, so mad.
