Satayman - Authentic Malaysian and Singaporean Cuisine

Feels like quality has gone down since we last came about a year ago. We had the curry chicken laksa, nasi lemak chicken and chicken satay, coconut for a drink.The laksa had too much soup so it was too hot, and potato but overall was good.The nasi lemak chicken, the chilli fish was cold, the chicken was fresh but too much. The rice was too wet and it was rich in coconut.The satay was good but the sauce has degraded. The peanut was just chunks in the sauce and the sauce was not spicy enough.The coconut was $8 but they do not even open it enough and there's no spoon so that you can eat the coconut meat. It's a bit too much to charge for just coconut water.

Very tasty southeast Asian cuisine, with tremendous portions. The variety and flavors are incredible and the couple who run this place are super nice. Please skip the chain restaurants sapping Fremont of its soul, and try Satayman's dynamic curries and other delights today!

Delicious Laksa??It would be perfect if there are some background music (comfortable) and taking off the scum on the soup (clean).Overall, it worths giving it a try!

I was looking for a restaurant to try an authentic Laksa soup. I'm SO happy I found this place. Big portion and very flavorful. Owner is nice and friendly.

Awesome food, Winnie and Kenae super warm! The Rendang Chicken and Chicken Satay are out of this world! They also gave us free Banana Ice cream in the end as a show of their great hospitality

You can never go wrong with authentic Malaysian food! I used to work at a Malaysian restaurant and loved all the food they had! You need to try their Rendang Chicken or Beef. Rendang is a dried curry type dish, but so flavorful! with Coconut Rice!!!! it's So good!❤️ They're satay chx beef and lamb is also yummy with the peanut sauce! Also if you eat here, ask for the Belachan Sauce aka Hot shrimp paste! It goes well with everything!

Decided to give this place a try and it was hit and miss. Our satay was yummy and our soup (I think it was the curry) was absolutely delicious. The broth had so many flavors and was delightful! The boneless chicken, on the other hand, was exceptionally bland and way too light, especially after eating the soup.Food: 6/10Vibes: 6/10Service: 6/10Value: 5/10

Food is pretty good, tho there isn’t so much flavor for the eggplant. Service is ok. If you order entree and main on average it’s $20/dish, so average-high as price level.

All dishes are small portion.I know inflation is crazy, but a $20 curry shrimp is full of bell peppers and about ten shrimps ?, and only four small beef in the $18 beef dry noodles.

Eggplant and Hainan chicken are very good! Boss is very nice

Our to-go-to when we are craving for Chilli Crabs. We are so delighted to have found Satayman, we can now enjoy Chilli Crabs!It’s the best one in the area - love the sauce, the buns, everything. I also appreciate that they made it less spicy for me.We’d be back for more!

Stopped by this place for a quick bite while in the area.My top takeaways:- Staff is super friendly; i believe it’s a family. Wonderful people- satays are delicious. So tender and juicy- Food feels super authentic. I’ve never been to singapore, but it feels and looks very homey and authentic- This restaurant has no business having such delicious wings! Crunchy and juicy and heavenly. Yummy- Laksa is a great taste. Creamy with coconut milk, but not too overpoweringly creamy like some placesWe were so full we tried to cancel our fried banana dessert, but they said they already started making it so we said we would take it. At the end, the owner tried to comp the banana for us, which was a wonderful gesture.Give this place a try, it’s great!

Great Malay food and very authentic. Came here during a weekday dinner and was seated right away. Food came out not too long after ordering. Taste was great!

Nasi Lemak w/ chicken is okay, but the chicken satay is delicious! Ordered another beef satay, also pretty tasty.
