I wish this place would open up. It was the perfect place for a cup of coffee & studying. I have yet to find another place that comes remotely close to Slap Face☹️

Great place, coffee and management! We missed them. Work from home sucks, sooo don't you think to open it soon? ?

Please open! This place is much needed. It's one of the LGBTQ friendly coffee shops I've been in at Fremont. :(

Please come back! This was my favorite coffee shop. Don’t let COVID take this gem from our community!

Another really good small business bites the dust.. Independent coffeehouse that was well known as an great place to study. Corona virus/ Covid19 SUCKS! I'm sure they couldn't stay open and pay rent on a business that was shuttered for 6 months. Through no fault of their own I might add... Hopefully they can return. Fremont needs small independent businesses, restaurants and coffeehouses! GOODBYE SLAPFACE YOU WILL BE MISSED!

I visited Slap Face when I first moved to the area and was exploring the area. The person taking our order was seemingly having a bad day (not cheerful or especially friendly) but we loved our coffees and avocado toast! The ambiance was very nice as well. We sat upstairs and enjoyed our time while we were there.

Slap Face Coffee & Tea slaps me in the face with their great ambiance and stylish coffee and tea drinks, not to mention serving a wide variety of baked goods and ice creams. Talk about being a little bit of everything to every one. Located deep in the heart of Fremont on Fremont Boulevard, Slap Face is the perfect example of how independent coffee shop owners can rehabilitate a former business, in this case being a former bank, and turning it into a business of their dreams that really serves the community as a whole is a win-win for everyone! I came to Slap Face Coffee & Tea with a couple of friends who had previously been before and wanted me to try it out for myself and boy was I so appreciative because to visit the space alone was well worth the trip. But what I also appreciated was their fun menu which had the usual traditional coffee drinks and baked goods that coffee shops are known for but also an abundance of unique drinks and treats such as Affogatos, Mochi muffins and crepes. Since we just came from lunch at another nearby establishment, we weren't too hungry but really wanted to get a good sampling of what they had to offer so I decided to order their Red Velvet Frappe which was a very affordable $4.50 and my friend ordered their Affogato with a scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream and plenty of espresso and a Mochi muffin to boot. Service didn't take too long as we waited in one of their airy and stylish seating areas. My Frappe was served in a adorable mason jar and tasted sweet and velvety smooth with plenty of ice that helped not make too overindulgent. My friend thought her muffin was tasty and moist while the Affogato was the perfect treat on a warm summer's day. I can't wait to return to try some of their savory dishes like their Pine Nuts Toast with Brie & Honey, which seems like it would satisfy any appetite looking to do some work remotely while savoring rich coffee drinks and taking in the atmosphere. Established just four years ago in 2016, Slap Face is the perfect example of beginning with a dream and seizing upon that desire. With the love of exceptional quality coffee drinks and exquisite dishes like avocado toast and Nutella crepes combined with a fantastically designed space that exemplifies this desire to share this passion with their visitors as they even have weekly showcases for live music and comedy acts. This dream has been realized and Slap Face Coffee & Tea is the end result.

Really like the quirky furniture, in particular the vault room and the ample seating. I get that they're trying to be minimalistic but a clearly visible menu would be great (instead of a bent at the corners printed menu)

Had breakfast here this morning and boy was I glad I did! The latte was a coconut based latte which was just delicious! And they put a leaves and a heart on the Kate's which I just love! The Avocado toast was just as delicious and with the sesame seeds and sea salt that was the perfect touch! I though it was really cool that's the building was a bank and the owner of Slap face turned it into a Cafe. He kept the vault and rooms as when the bank had it, so you can actually sit in a private room or with everyone else, super cool!

One of the best lattes I've tried. Great place to grab coffee and study. They have cool art and a nice layout. I enjoy studying in the vaults because it's private and can get a lot of studying done here. The last time I was here they had a guitarist play(I think they might do that weekly, but not sure). My absolute favorite thing about this cafe though is the fact that they close at midnight, even on the weekends :) The only downside I would say about this place(which is why I gave this review 4 stars) is parking. They have a small lot, so if you're outta luck there you would have to park on the street, but even that's packed most of the time.

2.20.2020, Thursday. Three stars because they close at 10 today and no notice was placed on any of their web-presence sites (here, or Google listings). We drove 30 minutes to get here for the purpose of working until midnight. Other issue: one of the lights upstairs near the window is having a continual seizure and was quite unnerving to work under. So, we moved to the conference room area. While the lights were OK, it smelled of farts. Ok I get it - the bathroom is right there. Just be warned - if you sit at the conference room near the bathrooms you'll be downwind and experience smells of pooh. Smallish parking lot with around 10 spots. Willing to give them another try in the future.

Awesome spacious cafe I just stumbled upon! Food: pretty standard and straight forward. Avo toast didn't have anything fancy but was made with attention. Velvet latte was good but really sweet- ask to control that if you can! Staff: my reason for the 5/5. Went there when there was one barista running the whole show and he was still so friendly and took his time to answer everyone's questions. Also very quick service for a one man show! Cost: pretty standard and expected. No complaints! Atmosphere: quirky and hipster-esque art murals on the walls. Loved that they had seating both downstairs and upstairs- super spacious. And very reliable WiFi! Will I be back? If I was in the area, why not!
