Love this place, will forever be missed ?

We have been visiting Sweet Tomatoes in Fremont since 2005, when I first tried it out. It’s the best place to take toddlers and growing kids to experiment with food. Also, it’s so hard for young families to socialize in most restaurants, so I give this place 7 stars for making that possible. In the past few years, I have sometimes experienced staff helping themselves to pick up my dishes, while I am still eating and working on it. I find this to be so disturbing, but I refuse to argue or spoil my mood over this, since I truly enjoy the restaurant. Hope the management takes heed of this and reprimands the staff for disrespecting people while they are eating. Staff should wait till people set their dishes aside.

This place will always be missed. It feels like COVID killed the buffet industry. I guess I'll lose some weight now but I miss making my own salad and having as much pizza as I want.

I am so bummed right now. Sweet Tomatoes will surely be missed.

I have nothing but warm memories of Sweet Tomatoes while growing up. I'm thrilled that I finally live nearby one! Now that I have my own youngsters, I appreciate the fact that kids up to 3 years old eat for free here. There are always a bunch of families whenever we visit. The salad bar is great for what it is. Remember to grab some of their cheesy bread, as it'll surely excite. If the clam chowder is available during your visit, TRY IT. Their chili and creamy tomato soup are also noteworthy. Ultimately, there's a delicious array of fresh-made soups for every discerning tastebud IMO. Be sure to end your meal with some of their soft serve. Good food and value, no frills. We get 'Korean BBQ full' here, if you know what I mean. + Local resident? Be on the lookout for their coupons

This is my favorite place to go when I'm trying to be healthy. There's just so much stuff you can customize your salad with and the best part about salad bars is that you could practically add as much as you want to your plate without the guilt. The creamy tuna salad pasta is a must try! I wish they would bring back the corn though. They offer other stuff besides salad such as soups, pastas, pastries and pizzas which are cut into tiny bite sized pieces so that helps with portion control. As much as I love eating here I had to knock it down by a couple stars because I got food poisoning here once. This place has always been a poppin spot in Fremont so definitely avoid peak hours if you're hungry because the wait gets crazy long and it'll be hard to find a table.

This is the third time we have visited Sweet Tomatoes. We enjoyed the salad bar, soup and sweet corn bread. Price wise is reasonable. On top of that, the cashier gave us a 10% senior discount.

Yuuuuuuuup, I just LOVE sweet Tomatoes, it doesn't get better than them, you can eat as much as you want and not feel fat about it. So so so so good, one of my favorites

It was very good my first time there. I enjoyed the salad and the soups. We'll go again.

Don't go during rush hour, the wait is excruciating and painful. Standing in front of the cucumbers for a good 10 minutes is not a good way to start your meal. Don't forget to use your Yelp check in for a discount!!! That is very important. Favorite things are the salad bar and the soup station. Least favorite section is dessert section. WEAK! Pasta, pizza, bread and muffins are OK. Not worth waiting in line at 7pm for. Come at a low traffic hour instead to get in/out faster. Cool factor - you can stuff a box and have your salad to-go!

There is usually a long line whenever I come here with my boyfriend. We usually go here on Sundays for lunch around 2pm. We've been here about 6 times now and took pictures of our food during each trip and noticed that the menu items, like soups are always slightly rotating. Then there's items, like the pizza, frozen yogurt, and certain items from the salad bar which are always there. First, you have to grab a tray and plates and line up at the salad bar even if you don't want anything from that section. The salad bar contains a variety of veggies to build your own salad, some cold pastas, and sauces. At the end of the salad bar is the cashier, where everyone pays for the buffet before a worker directs you to your table. Now that you've passed the salad bar and cashier, you have a lot more food options to choose from. There's lots of hot food options like pizza, baked potato bar, soups, pastas, and sometimes tortellini! There's also bakery section with sweet goodies, cold desserts like frozen yogurt, and fruits too. If you chose the "all you can drink" option, then you can choose drinks like coffee, a variety of fountain drinks, milk, and juices too. They also give you a card to leave on your table saying "I'll be ripe back!" if your not done grabbing food and a side that says "See you next thyme!" for when you leave. I'd recommend this place! This buffet is one of our favorite restaurants to go to because of the price. It's a great place for people with dietary restrictions while also tasting good for people without those restrictions. Every item at this buffet has a sign explaining what's in the food and if it's gluten free, dairy free, vegan, or something else. The only things I don't like is there are not much meat items for the people who don't have any restrictions AND they don't have the cheese sauce out to grab at the potato bar unless you ask for some.

Sweet tomatoes never disappoints ? salads and soups are always so delicious, especially after a good workout!

I frequently eat at sweet Tomatoes in Pleasanton and at the MT VIEW restaurant, I was in Fremont and decided to have a meal-not too happy with that decision. They were low on everything, the place was dirty-bathrooms disgusting. I will stick with the other restaurants from now on!
