Market Cocina was the target all along. I was down in Freemont dropping off a Englolapperitizer to my pal Dr. Fitzwillie at the Hospital for the Criminally Insane there on Slobbery Avenue, and passed by the Market Cocina, that'll be my lunch spot for sure. I guess the good Doctor is going to bring that evil apprentice back to life because he had me put a modified expansion chamber on it and adjust the rev limiter to 12,000 rpm. Those inmates are sure in fore a surprise, but not as good as the surprise I had with the amazing tacos from the Market Cocina! ☆☆☆☆☆

This location always has empty shelves never restocked in the prepared veggie area. They don't carry the fresh pico de Gallo and guacamole like all the other locations. I bought fresh pico de Gallo here 1 month ago and it has never been restocked. Their gift cards are made of paper so if you receive one you will likely rip it in half when opening the card cover which makes the barcode not scan and they can't just simply type in the card number and pin to use at the register, but instead they have to call a support line for 15 minutes and transfer the balance to a new card. Very strange.

Interesting experience I just had & not sure how to react. As I'm checking out, the clerk asked me if I bunched 2 dills into one. Is that how they treat a customer that just spent $120+ on groceries......

The workers are very polite and helpful. They really know where are the vegan products locate.

Ok - I didn't get it at the time but they shut down the smoked meat area??? Then there was Pizza - Really if you can serve hands free Pizza you can serve hands free smoked meat - you had the best smoked meat in Fremont Monday thru Friday - and it was ALWAYS hands free- Please start smoking again - part of what sets you apart- not to mention the occasional special - short ribs just to name one-- I know a lot of people are with me and upset about the shut down - please start things up again!!!!

Whole Foods Fremont is located at the corner of Mowry Ave and Paseo Padre Pkwy. It's a small plaza with some popular businesses around. I don't really need to go into what Whole Foods can offer; just want to share my experience here so far. Being a Prime member, I enjoy shopping here. I get some terrific deals when I shop, especially for fruits, produce and from butcher shop. Staffs are super friendly; never had a moment where I was disappointed with their response / attitude. During my initial visits, I had troubles locating some of the items, especially the natural food supplements; they have always helped me with those. Butcher shop is another counter I often visit. Earlier when it's crowded, the experience was really disappointing. People jump the line and they were unable to handle. Have seen people arguing at the counter in the past. They brought in a token system, which worked for a while and the discontinued. But during my recent visits, never had any such problem. Having said that, please double check the item/price printed from the counter; they have messed up the code multiple times and I had to go back to the counter from checkout line to get this corrected. Best part of whole foods is the self checkout. There could be a long long queue at the normal checkout counters here. Long line is very common at self-checkout counters, but they move real fast. The only problem with the whole set up is, it's too congested. A little more space, especially during the pandemic could have been better. They follow the COVID protocols. Masks required, physical distancing enforced, and they are sanitizing the areas frequently. After every person checks out, there's a dedicated person to sanitize the self checkout stations. Commendable. I have tried the Amazon prime order (during stay at home) from this location. I wasn't really happy about the quality of produce and fruits delivered. Some of them were not fresh. I stopped doing the online ordering with that experience. This is a busy plaza with lots of stores. The parking is the biggest issue here. Small parking spots and during the rush hours, it's extremely hard to find a parking here.

This review is for the Amazon Shoppers at this location. I ordered food through Amazon and both times my order was fulfilled by this Fremont store. BOTH times my frozen items and refrigerator items were packaged in a brown paper bag with ZERO insulation. They were not in a cooler bag. I have no idea why the shopper thought it was a good idea to package everything (no matter what temp the item is) in a brown paper ambient bag. There was meat that should have been refrigerated in the SAME bag with bread and ambient items. There was frozen meat (that was no longer frozen) that was in a brown ambient paper bag. (And yes, the frozen meat box said to "Keep Frozen". So it should not have been thawed!). I used to be an Amazon Shopper. So I KNOW that the frozen and refrigerated items are supposed to be in separate cooler bags. There is a SERIOUS problem with quality control at this store. When I got my very first order and saw this, I thought maybe it was a fluke and I gave it a second try. But it happened again! I really couldn't believe it. Such a terrible experience. Never ordering groceries ever again.

You'll always find me at the bakery! Hands down..they have the best desserts in town! Recently purchased their cheesecake and not a single bite left of it at the family dinner!

Time to do an update...COVID style. L O C A T I O N Whole Foods is located in this little plaza at the corner of Mowry and Paseo Padre. The parking here can be challenging especially when it wasn't COVID times, but these days, not too bad, but still rough since the parking lot is kind of small. C O V I D P R O T O C O L Though it's been a hot minute, they usually have a security guard at the front monitoring the number of people coming in and out. Not sure if they're continuing this since the last time I went. There are hand sanitizers for your convenience. I T E M S I generally don't shop here for groceries unless it's something I absolutely can't find anywhere else. The prices are just a little high and you can get as good or better outside. You do get a discount for being an Amazon Prime member, but I'm cheap....I don't have Amazon Prime. We generally go here for cheeses and meats as you can customize what you get. I like the tiny cheese left over bowl where we can sample random cheese at a fraction of the price. Yes, you can ask for just a piece of a particular cheese and not have to get a huge slice, but we tend not to do this often. We also get deli meat slices here too. Cheese...meat...yeah we do our own little charcuterie board. The desserts aren't too bad. We tend to gravitate to the pies. We love their cranberry apple when it's in season. Recently the strawberry rhubarb has been poorly made. There's always gelatinous clumps in the filling. We also get the ice cream cakes here. They get it from a place in San Ramon. The pistachio rose water is probably our fav. It's a bit pricey, but we get it on special occasions. S E R V I C E Service usually isn't bad. We tend to do self check out these days though. Lines can tend to be long otherwise. O V E R A L L Since it's the only Whole Foods around, and it's good to have an option when I can't find what I need at a standard grocery store. Lots of cheese options. Good dessert if you're hankering it.

I was stnding in line to see a person on food stamps purchase some items. The cashier, sad to say, had a different approach to this person compared to me who was paying with a regular card. I think, these are hard times and everyone is entitled to shop at Wholefoods, even if they have food stamps. It is about equality so if you are snobish in your personality, and you know who you are, you should not be working here. Get a job somewhere else. I as a tax payer am happy to support anyone who may wish to spend my money in Whole Food, if i don't have a problem then neither should you. Inequality in any form should not be tolerated!!! Period.

I knew the quality of Whole Foods' produce had dropped significantly since they were acquired by Amazon. However, I didn't know it was THIS bad. I ordered a crudités tray for Thanksgiving. I served it at hour after I picked it up and the all of the baby carrots were completely dry, mushy and inedible. Not okay.

I love Whole Foods for giving us the ability to buy quality organic unpackaged food. The bulk section is amazing, the quality of the nuts and grains is excellent. Fruits and veggies are very good quality in general. I wish they would go back to selling unpackaged salad leaves. Meats and fish are also very fresh with excellent variety - I can recommend the fresh whole fish such as trout, snapper and branzini. The fresh bakery is excellent, I adore the sourdough loaf and the vegan chocolate cake is simply outstanding. I find the service adequate and now with self checkout, it's very simple to finish the billing. I get a few discounts for being Amazon Prime, but WF is not cheap. But, I would rather consume less food of high quality than a lot of junk.

In my senior year of high school, I drove here every single day for lunch. I loved it! Always went for the hot food bar. I didn't visit again until 5 years later, and wow- it is always so packed! The parking lot is madness! They even added more stores and restaurants to the same plaza... what a crazy idea haha. This Whole Foods is very traditional though which I love. They have everything I expect to see at a Whole Foods. I love their bar soaps display, cookie bar, and hot food options! Overall, very packed. I recommend not going during the weekend or busy times.
