Went to Delhi 6 – Fremont with my family and had a really satisfying meal.
We ordered the Murg Shahi — Rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced without being too heavy.

The Goat Curry was also good — tender meat and full of authentic flavor. Paired it with garlic naan and butter naan which were fresh, soft, and perfect for the gravies.

Great comfort-style North Indian food and a nice family dinner spot. Will definitely be coming back!

Food is horrible. Please avoid this place and save yourself some time and money. Ordered 1 dahi batata puri, gobi manchuri. The dahi batata puri was just ready made squeezed sweet yogurt of some sort with some frozen alu inside, it was $10. Gobi manchuri was nothing but tomato ketchup over fried cauliflower. Overall 1 out of 10 on food. And even Chai was over dosed with masala.

Delhi 6, located on Argonaut Way in Fremont and formerly known as Nawabs Kitchen, is a solid destination for anyone looking for excellent Indian food in a comfortable setting. The restaurant delivers on flavor and quality, with dishes that feel well-prepared, balanced, and consistently satisfying. Whether you’re visiting for a casual dinner or a relaxed family meal, Delhi 6 offers a dependable and enjoyable dining experience.

The ambience is one of its strong points. The dining area is clean, spacious, and welcoming, making it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal rather than rushing through it. Service is attentive without being intrusive, which adds to the overall ease of dining here.

The standout dishes are clearly the malai tikka, biryani, and kofta. The malai tikka is rich, tender, and perfectly grilled, with a creamy marinade that enhances the flavor without overpowering it. The biryani is aromatic and well-spiced, with fragrant rice and generous portions of protein. The kofta is equally impressive—soft, flavorful, and paired with a well-balanced gravy that complements it beautifully.

Another practical advantage is the plenty of parking available, making visits hassle-free. Overall, Delhi 6 successfully builds on its legacy as Nawabs Kitchen and is well worth a visit for quality food, good ambience, and reliable execution.

This is a clean and cozy Indian restaurant that has taken over the previous Nawab Kitchen. The Amritsari Dal Makhni combo (as many have said) is delicious and creamy. And when I praised the taste, the lady server gave me more dal to taste! Good and polite service that makes your dining experience very good! The chai is also nice and hot!

Visited Delhi 6 and tried the paneer tikka tandoori, makhani dal, and lachha paratha. The paneer tikka wasn’t that great and felt a bit underwhelming compared to expectations. However, the lachha paratha was extremely fresh and flaky, and the makhani dal was rich, flavorful, and comforting. Overall, a mixed experience, but the dal and paratha definitely stood out.

Nawabs Kitchen on DoorDash, but Delhi 6 on their sign at their physical location. Weird. Some local tri-city area restaurants desperately need some basic “restaurant business practices 101” coaching.

Food hasn’t changed. Pricey, usually decent. Service and atmosphere: still seriously lacking in both areas.

Average food
Sub-par service
They should change the front desk folks or teach them to smile. May be then, I will try them again.
Last, butter chicken gravy was good BUT chicken was half cooked. We complained and they pretended as if they didn’t understand. They heard us but never did anything

The food was absolutely delicious! The preparation felt authentic — just like something straight from Amritsar. We ordered Dal Makhani, Amritsari Kulcha, Chana Masala, and Chicken Rara — all of them were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fresh tandoori breads complemented the dishes beautifully. The service was also polite and quick, unlike some restaurants where the servers can be cold. Overall, a wonderful dining experience!
