The food here was neither good or bad but definitely overpriced for what it is.

The chirashi selection was decent but the rice tasted like regular rice and not sushi rice. The scallops in my bento box was perfectly cooked though so positive points on that.

Overall, there are tons of Japanese options around which for sure will be better. I just don't eat at Fremont a lot so I don't have recommendations but skip this restaurant.

Atmosphere just not to my liking but nothing wrong with it. The sushi, to me, is outstanding.

Unassuming from the outside but then you enter and realize how vast this place is. It's like 3 Japanese restaurants in one! Sushi is fresh, this is a place that's as good for everything from casual dining to big celebrations.

The sushi is so fresh and a great amount in the rolls. More sushi than rice. Worth the price

Great selection of food. Popular and lively. Not a quiet place if you expect a more traditional Japanese restaurant setup. Definitely worth it for quality food in the industrial area.

Food: a) Sushi lack of freshness and taste. I ordered omakase and all of them has no taste and taste the same. The texture is so dead. Even some fish supposed to have firm texture and it is definitely a very dead fish. b) Kids orders seafood Udon soup. The noodle supermarket quality, seafood again no taste. I had frozen seafood shrimp before and they have taste. And the soup tasteless. My kids don't usually complain. Even they said the soup has no taste. It actually has a tap water taste. C) The decorations on my omakase plate is so bad. Get this plastic thing out. I don't even know if they are clean or wash each time. A read Japanese chef would not put that thing on it. It is a eye sore.

Service: I don't know if they ever train their server. Never served people across the table. This guy hand the soup action the table and drop some soup on the table and on my kids napkin. Luckily it is not too hot and miss my kid. He constantly pass my food across the table. Is it that hard to walk around and place down my food on my table in front of me. It is a full service restaurant and not a fast food chain.

Atmosphere: it is a bar and they try to look upscale. It is not a bad place for friends to hand out and chat. Just don't order sushi and any soup. Stick with Fry food .

Toro is an upscale Japanse Sushi restaurant with fusion style. It has a full stock bar,a Sushi bar, multiple dining areas for couples, families and parties. It offers 3 wall width TVs for sports or Karaoke parties. Menus offer traditional Japanese dishes, signature rolls, sashimi boats and fusion bento boxes. Service is fast, efficient and not intrusive.
