Our recent dining experience at this establishment fell far below our expectations. The uncooked shrimp served to us was a major disappointment, especially after discovering it post-consumption. Despite assurances of a replacement, we were left waiting for over 30 minutes with no resolution in sight. Additionally, the mix veg curry we ordered was excessively sour, almost to the point of inducing nausea. Overall, our visit was chaotic and unsatisfactory, and we have no plans to return.

Ordered chole bhature. But the chole tasted a bit off and undercooked.

Went to Wah Jee Wah for the first time. Gave me the feel of roadside restaurants in India without the grime and dirt. Line was long and the parties ahead of us were indecisive and took forever to order which was annoying. There's a huge menu on the wall so it would be helpful t9 know what you want before holding up the line. You order first and then you can sit right outside the ordering window, inside, or the covered patio. We ordered gol gappe, chicken skewer combo, butter chicken, garlic naan, and mango lassi. There was some confusion with the gol gappe. There's a cart in front and you are supposed to get a ticket to get the gol gappe. We never got a ticket and weren't sure of the system. We took our number and sat in the outside patio. The first item that came was the butter chicken. It was tasty, but then the rest of the order did not come for a long time which sucked because by the time the naan came the butter chicken was lukewarm. I wish they brought the dishes at once or all together. The garlic naan and chicken skewer combo was good. The special sauce with the combo is the curry from the butter chicken. The mango was lassi was not good! It was watery and very tart! I would not get this drink again. Staff was helpful and attentive especially with figuring out the goal gappe situation which we ended up going to the cart at the end of the meal when we were pretty full. Wish we got the ticket at the start so we could have had those first. Other than that the food was great and the serving staff were super kind even though they were super busy! I'd come back and try the chole bhature which look really good!

A Flavorful Fusion of Indian and American Cuisine at Wah Jee Wah Hidden away in a random complex in Hayward is the culinary gem known as Wah Jee Wah. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but step into the patio and you're transported into a vibrant space brimming with tantalizing aromas and a unique melding of Indian and American flavors. The masala mac and cheese immediately caught my eye on the menu - an ingenious fusion dish combining the gooey, cheesy comfort of mac and cheese with the warm, earthy spices of Indian masala. The first bite was an explosion of rich creaminess contrasted with the complex, slightly smoky notes of the masala spice blend. Each forkful seemed to reveal a new layer of flavor I hadn't detected before. Not wanting to fill up too much on just one dish, I also ordered the skewer plate - a carnivore's delight. Generous chunks of tender lamb seekh kebab arrived sizzling from the outdoor tandoori grill alongside two decent lamb chops, their charred exterior giving way to soft, slightly overcooked meat inside. The accompanying garlic naan was think but soft with just the right amount of chew, perfect for sopping up the velvety tikka masala gravy. On the side, the chicken tikka kebab was subtly smoky and incredibly moist. The chicken tikka was my favorite as it was so perfectly cooked and tender. The only misstep of the evening was the masala soda, which had an oddly savory taste reminiscent of the pani puri water. It didn't quite work as a sweet beverage accompaniment. Despite the soda miss, the overall experience was one of surprising and satisfying flavors. Wah Jee Wah has found a winning formula by blending beloved American comfort foods with the vibrant spices and preparations of Indian cuisine. At around $30 per person including drinks, it's an affordable way to take your taste buds on a culinary voyage of flavor fusion. Just be sure to save room for the masala mac and cheese!

I'm not usually a BBQ person, but this place was really good. Owner confirmed that meat is halal, purchased from a butcher in Fremont.

One of the best Indian food I've had in the Bay area. Everything was fantastic. You can tell this place is great by the quality of their Naan - soft flavorful, buttery and delicious. Most Indian places don't get the consistency of Naan right. The meat skewers were perfectly marinated, juicy and cooked to perfection. Will definitely come back here again. The staff was friendly, courteous and polite.

A different experience, kebebs like charcoal BBQ at home, cooked in open. We ordered Peanut masala, chole bature, goat sheek kebab 2 piece combo with garlic naan and rice and lamb chops. The food was good but can’t says as excellent. To start with the peanut masala was a let down, the peanuts were barely fried and was too salty. I hope they will consider frying it more and getting rid of the chilkas. The goat skewers were nice, the garlic naan was ordinary as was the salaan with it. They initially served them with just onions but on request gave us jalopenoes. The chole bature was typical North Indian style but the bature could have been nicer and fluffier. The lamb chops were also nice but I have had it at other places were they melt in your mouth, definitely not the case here. But overall it’s a nice place to have food but I feel the management can make it better given the competition present in Bay AreaParking: Limited number of parking, can get difficult to find park g during busy hours

Trying this place for the first time today. I was impressed. Wonderful service with friendly staff, owner checking up on us and serving us. Food ordered was kebabs (delish), butter chicken and naan ( thinnest ever seen). The masala chai was a bonus. Definitely coming back again to try the masala Mac cheese. The "dhaba" feel is amazing!!!'

I was craving Indian food so i decided to take the family here to give it a try. I seen grubing with mike here & he said this place was super bomb. The food was mediocre. I ordered the chicken & shrimp skewer platters with a extra regular naan bread. The staff was nice & helpful. The meats weren't flavorful at all. The sauce that came with the platters was good! But to spicy for my 8 years old daughter. The portion are really small. The grilled shrimp was a joke, absolutely trash. I might come back to try the massla mac & cheese or the fries. ‍

Skewers were amazing! Service was on point. They really made you feel at home. The chef himself would make rounds every time e we went to check in on you. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu as we haven't yet had a dish we didn't like. Definitely will be back again many times over!

The service was very nice. The staff were kind and accommodating. The food was pretty good, but nothing to die for. Won’t be coming back soon.

The food was cooked nice and tender but it had its hit and misses. We had chicken tikka kabob with chicken cooked to perfection but lacked salt. We also had the lamb Kathi roll which was amazing, everything nicely balanced and meat was cooked nice and juicy. We also took some main items for to-go, disappointingly there is a consistent trend among the gravies having abundance of spices but lacking balance. The naan's were fresh and great. Overall the Kathi rolls are a great pick for now, it's almost there to be a great hangout spot just needs more balance of spices. We did have to wait for the Kathi roll but the chef gave us a complementary kebab which was a nice gesture of service. The ambience is again that of a great roadside food place along the hills on mission blvd. Good but could be better. Also, base of their gravies are very similar. We ordered wah je wah sauce- it was nothing but butter chicken gravy without butter chicken Also chai is frrreeeeeeeee Golgappe/panipuri- 3/5
