To be honest one of the better seafood buffets in the south bay. I regularly go to Tomi and milpitas buffet but world surprised me. Solid for what it is

Walked into the restaurant to find a rave party in their event room, the most lively area of the restaurant. We were barely acknowledged and ushered to the seating area. A server finally came to our table and seved our fountain drinks..we found out later they were $5 each. Overlooking the half shell oyster likely sitting there since lunch, the honey chicken, bao buns, and fried shrimp were palatable. We were quite fond of the desserts, including the soft serve, a buffet staple. Not worth $80 for 2 people but we managed to eat our fill.

I was really impressed. Really good food, amazing variety. Clean. Comfortable seating.
Staff are nice and helpful just need a bit of improvement with English.

Is fairly good 👍
I would said it is so so. Food is nothing special. But if you are in the area and want to have choices of foods, vegetables, and deserts, this would be the place. Cheap enough.

09.15.25 11:30am Adult Lunch $17.99, Seniors -10%. Still good buffet, fresh, clean, tasty.
Better than; Milpitas Buffet (your regular subpar Chinese buffet), Tomi Sushi & Seafood Buffet (untasty food, not good sushi), Newark Buffet (tiny restaurant w.few choices).
New World Gourmet Buffet has a huge selection of dishes, I'd stay away from the sushi section except for maybe the seaweed salad. Cold seafood items are good, fresh, or shrimp, mussels w.lemon or cocktail sauce. The hot food was nice, fresh, hot, and good. The fin soup was the best out of the soup selections but still just ok. Pastry dessert isn't worth any tummy real estate, fresh fruit is good if you stay away from the obvious canned items.
All in all way too much selection, just get a single bite worth of food then decide to get more later on, food selection is huge; dumplings, fried food, stir Fry's, made to order Mongolian stir fry, fish, mussels, shrimp, pork ribs, stir fried eggplant, chicken wings, etc, located in a good area with plenty of parking & tables, service was good, their tea is awful, some weird medicinal tasting Chinese tea at $1.99/cup, just avoid & drink water or maybe soda.

The food was cold and old. The service worker would come to my tabIe after the adult when to get food for our kids, and the service workers would come to the table and start talking to our kids. They would also talk about you in a different language.personally i would not recommend this place. There are other Buffets near by.
