First of all sign on the door says take our only. So I order sweet n sour chicken with the sweet n sour sauce on the side ( I don't like my chicken soggy, since I have to drive home to eat, I order it on the side) and I order shrimp fried rice and two egg rolls. $40 meal for 2. My chicken was drowned in sweet and sour sauce, so much, I COULD NOT eat it!!!! The shrimp fried rice was mushy and like no other fried rice I'd ever seen before. The only good part of the meal were the eggrolls. This is the WORST Chinese food restaurant I have EVER been to, and I've been to A LOT.

This morning I drove by and bought side a portion of orange chicken with rice $22 price I guess it’s OKbut when I open the chicken was a big mass of flour and really no chicken so it’s just like they add little pieces of chicken throw them in tons of flour and pour orange marmalade sauce on top this is a very bad experience.

Bamboo Village Gilroy: Sorry to post a low review, but others should know. It's our first and will be the last time here. We decided to ignore the low Yelp reviews and judge for ourselves. The Chinese Chicken Salad; fried chicken unedible, overcooked, and dry. Fried rice; had no flavor and it looked like instant rice or the rice used in sizzling rice soup. We each had one spoon and tossed the entire container. Kung Pow Chicken; is dry, has no spice, lacks flavor, and doesn't taste like Kung Pow. Chow Mein; again no flavor and noodles overcooked. War won ton soup was flavorful and had a nice broth. Total came close to $90. Full but not satisfied. Service was pleasant. They only offer take-out.

Once the go-to Chinese restaurant in Gilroy has now become an oh-hum Chinese restaurant that only serves take out meals at 30-50% increases in price. Want Chinese food, keep looking because this place has forgotten what good service and food is like,

This was our go to place for Chinese food. Hands down they HAD been the best place in Gilroy/Morgan Hill. Unfortunately this is the second time it's been awful. This last time was the final straw for us. We drive from Morgan Hill for takeout. They gave us spaghetti noodles in place of chow mein noodles! Its mind blowing to think they thought boiled spaghetti noodles would be acceptable in place of stir-fried noodles. It was just gross. (FYI they only do take out now, no dining in still since Covid)

If I could put zero stars I would. I walked in and asked for plain chow mein. The woman tells me what kind , I said oh well what kid do you have , being that I asked for plain then was like mom wonder what kind they have. She then says what kind I said what kind do you have, then gets alcrazy rude saying no what do you want, I said well I want to choose again what kind do you have , she says I kid you not, no you need to know and need to know now what kind do you want. I was like omg what is happening right now, I'm like mam forget just plain, I was still going to order but then when she said over 20 dollars for a small cup of chow mein for a kid mind you, I was like ok forget it. She says you didn't know so .... I am beyond pissed like dude I just wanted plain chow mein for my kid and this lady is in a raised voice demanding I need to know , the service here is disgusting. Everyone always told me but I seriously wanted to give it a try but who knew they were all right lol just wow.

Stopped in to pick up dinner, Chow Mein & Orange chicken. $34 . I understand inflation but for 2 items .. this better be some amazing Chinese. Edit: Well worth it! Portions are huge. Could definitely feed 3-4 people. Food is flavorful and orange chicken was extra saucy. Owner was really very nice and friendly. Bummer they only serve Take Out orders and not open for Dine In.

All we got was fried rice and eggrolls, how could you mess that up right? The rice had absolutely no flavor. We had to put it in a pan and add sesame oil, soy sauce and egg to make it edible. I don't mind veggie egg rolls but they didnt tell me when I called my order in. They were hot but soaked in greece and all that was inside was large pieces of soggy cabbage
