Brisket was rendered great , fatty melt in your mouth ,really exceptional. Pulled pork is done right, the sides are flavorful and compliment the rest well. Service is welcoming and straight to the point.

Came in 20 minutes before closing with a family of 5. #1 Service was extremely quick, maybe waited less than 10 minutes for all of our food to come out. #2 Best. Damn. Chicken. Ever. The most tender and soft, chicken breast I have ever had at ANY BBQ spot. Brisket was really good as well, juicy and tender. Sides were also really good. Potato Salad made in house and you can really taste the effort they put into their sides. Although they were starting to close up, they did not seem to rush us and were very kind. So in conclusion. 10/10 service and 10/10 BBQ. I recommend this spot 100000%.

We stopped by this BBQ restaurant while on the road and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious and the ambiance was really charming. The only small downside was that some of the meats were a bit cold, but everything else was excellent. Would definitely come back!

Cold tri tip no flavor in any of the food options we picked it was so bland and under cooked chicken way over priced way over hyped up. From the start orders taken out side and inside was empty its a gimick to make people think the place is packed. The music set a depressing atmosphere. The staff is rude burnt out and no care attitude the pates are served with soggy pathetic pickeled cucumbers and onions the food was braught COLD! had to keep asking for the missing food or drink items when we mentuined to the staff the food was cold and flavorless they just apologized and shrugged there shoulders. I cant beleive this place is running in Gilroy sad to see what this so called 4 star restraunt fell so short of what we where expecting to be served in Gilroy Ca! The menu is confusing and misleading and for 130 plus dollars?? We left hungry and very disapointed we tried the pulled pork the so called LARGE 26 dollar trip sandwhich which was waaaaay over priced and all fell short the large tri tip meals the raw quarter chicken ick bloody inside slimy skin and the bar b que sauce didnt help save the meal eather. The corn bread and potatoe salad was one of the worst I have ever had the runy macaroni was bland and cold not even our two year old would eat it. It was a sad experiance and had the reviews of the 1 star be at the first of the review I would have definately NOT stopped there and wasted my money on such terrible customer service and cold bar b que. Embarrassing portions.

My wife and I came here for the first time today. We both ordered Tri-Tip. I got Mac and cheese and coleslaw while my wife got baked beans and potato salad. Everything was tender and melt in your mouth delicious. We will absolutely be back again.

My most favorite BBQ ever! I moved out of state but always make time when come back to get my favorite Blue Pig sandwich. Danny has worked there forever & always remembers everyone! I love how they’ve kept their quirky charm, it makes it an easy place to relax & enjoy your meal!

What a gem of a BBQ spot in Gilroy. I’ve had good BBQ in New York, LA, and even Texas — but BBQ 152 really surprised me with how consistently flavorful and tender everything was. We got the meat combo with brisket, tri-tip, and pork ribs, and honestly, each one was excellent. The brisket had that perfect smoky bark and just melted in your mouth. The tri-tip was juicy and well-seasoned, and the pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. You can tell they know what they’re doing here — no shortcuts.

But what truly makes this place stand out is the owner. He’s one of the most genuinely kind and warm-hearted people I’ve met in the restaurant world. You can tell he really cares about his guests having a great time — not just a good meal. He chatted with us like we were old friends, lent my 10-year-old nephew a cowboy hat, and even brought him a little dessert just to make his day extra special. That level of hospitality is rare.

The space itself has a casual, welcoming vibe. It’s unpretentious but full of heart. You feel like you’re at someone’s backyard cookout — except the food is next-level good.

There’s also a San Jose location, but I’m glad we stopped by the original in Gilroy. If you’re anywhere near the area and love BBQ — or just warm, quality places run by good people — don’t miss this spot.

Food was great but the hostess killed the vibe. Was rude because she had to work on the 4th? Or because I walked in the wrong door for a Pick Up order? Or both? I apologized for walking in the wrong door, no acknowledgement. Thanked her for pointing me in the right direction, again no acknowledgement. Why was she angry? Who knows? The Garden salad Im sure would've been as bomb as the Spud Potato had I been given the right salad dressing. No utensils to eat with, napkins, or salt and pepper for the potato provided. Cute name, convenient location, loved the BBQ theme and vibe throughout but the first and last experiences stay with a customer and leave a lasting impression that could depend on a first time only or a repeat customer. This alone should be considered when hiring people to meet and greet your customers.
