COVALE Rooftop Beer & Wine Bar

We stopped here to break up our drive from SLO to SFO. Great pit stop, I'm glad my wife found it. Super cool spot down an alley. Really friendly staff, pretty cool layout and a lot of fun stuff like games and a photo booth. Great beer selection. We tried a couple beers that the bartender recommended and were quite happy. Our daughter was pretty stoked on their giant pretzel, which we all put down pretty quickly. A cool stop with a cool vibe, I would certainly stop here again on my next trip through.

This is my new hangout obsession in Gilroy! They have a great selection of beers, house made cocktails that are available as well, and small bites. The chips and salsa are both made in-house and is absolutely the best thing and should not be missed! Everyone is really kind and helpful and I love the overall vibe and environment. Definitely a place to come get a drink and enjoy a beautiful day in Gilroy.

The music was so loud you could not hear when talking to others. The service was poor, like we were interrupting their day. The chips and salsa tasted store bought.

A great selection of craft beer! This is a wonderful place with a patio upstairs if you just want to chill by a fire pit and have a drink. It's a cool place to check out while you're in town. Whenever I walk in I feel like I walked into the Continental of the John Wick movies. Again I repeat, they have a great selection of drinks!

Fun spot

Awesome spot. Upstairs patio area has tables and seating and you can watch the foot traffic in the alley. It's got a lounge area with a pinball machine and a huge tv. Great selection of beers on tap.

Wonderful selection of rotating craft beer selections and local wine. I always find something I love.

Decided to give this place another try and this time around was not disappointed at all. The service improved and the environment was more open & friendly. Big selection of beers & a small cocktail menu. Would recommend the covale cosmo and the super michelada.

Cool hidden gem in the heart of Gilroy. Be forewarned, it can be difficult to find if you aren’t using Google or some other location app. The only entrance that I am aware of is from the back alley parallel to Monterey Street. There’s usually a food truck parked adjacent to the entrance, so look for that.

Inside are three floors of space to enjoy your libation of choice. The rooftop is unique in the area, offering a charming, romantic addition to sharing a beer or cocktail.

They have a large variety of quality craft beer on draft. They also offer wine and have drink specials.

First time here and I liked the upstairs/outside area. Very cool and inviting. Ful disclosure, I did not have any of the bar munchies. Just had some nice pints of beer, hell that's why I'm here.
Will be back for sure.

Covale is the perfect fit for going out and drinks and some food with friends or your partner in the area.
A lot of variation on beers and wines.
The service is super friendly and warm.

Good selection of beer. Super helpful, kind staff. Good music and really cool atmosphere. They don’t have real meals here but you can order from a few other restaurants around downtown and they will deliver it.
