Yay! Not Starbucks. The coffee beans are roasted in house. As such, the flavor is so gooood! They bake most of the pastries that they sell in-house. Service is knowledgeable and friendly (my husband was coughing pretty hard for awhile and a barista brought him water- Thank you, Eva!) If we support our downtown, our downtown will thrive!

The barista was assisting a mother and her children in cleaning up spilled water. She did so kindly when the mother asked for help, but she reassured her with, 'No problem, I will do it.' She then went to the back with a cloth and bucket, returning quickly to start preparing our coffee. I asked if she wanted to wash her hands after cleaning, and she said she had already done so. In my opinion, her response was not entirely honest.

Great espresso and their treats looked delicious. I will be back. I wish they allowed dogs in the store as I would go in more frequently when I walk my dog in the mornings.i also love that they use real caramel and not syrup flavor for their macchiato delicious.

Columbian Pour over, flavors chocolate & nutty. very good. Salted caramel Latte, very smooth sweet. Our barista/server was very helpful and let us know when our drink were done. Very wide open coffee shop, lots of seating and a little boutique in the back of the shop. Prices were great. Loving that this had a small town feel and not corporate coffee company. Will definitely be back to try some iceeam and pastries.

Love the coffee. Customer service is bad. It almost seems like they’re trained to not have customer service

The aesthetic is amazing. But, truly, can we all stop pretending this place is worth supporting ? The own (lady with brunette hair) has the oddest vibe. You’d think one would be friendlier to those supporting you. I’ve given this place a few tries and it ALWAYS ends up with bad customer service. Such wasted potential.

$6 for a small iced caramel machiatto. It was extremely good and the service was fast. Seems like a nice place to hang out. The price is the only downside.

The smell of the coffee lured me in even with my belly full. I really liked the bourbon caramel latte and was looking forward to trying the Ethiopian coffee pour that would have taken 10-15 mins more. Maybe for next time. The place was quaint and cute. We also got to sample the garlic ice cream, which is both a novelty and shock to your system. They do have very less seating.

The service is ok, the atmosphere is nice ... but they really, really don't know how to make coffee.
The regular latte was overheated and the milk had no texture at all. Just like Starbucks but for some reason commanding a premium price. And the Earl Grey latte was utterly undrinkable with a very weird taste.

We had some time to kill so we went here to get croissants and my husband had a cup of coffee. I had an almond croissant which was good. My husband had chocolate and said there was a lot of chocolate in it, which he loved. He also said the coffee was very good.

This is my second time at Fifth Street Coffee Roasting Co, and it’s just as great as I remembered. I first stopped by three months ago while visiting a client in Hollister from the Bay Area—and now it’s officially a must-visit whenever I’m in town.
The coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the handmade pastries (crafted by the owner!) are absolutely delicious.
A special shoutout to Dulce, who helped me both times. She’s not only gorgeous and super friendly, but also incredibly patient and professional—even when the line is out the door. She recommended the coffee cake this time, and it was soft, spongy, and insanely good.
Dulce is a true gem and a staple of this coffee shop. Her positive energy and skill behind the counter make every visit memorable.
Can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
