What a lovely place to stop for lunch! We had the pulled pork sandwich and brisket; both were delicious. The service was wonderful, too, and we enjoyed talking to Mike while we were there. Would definitely come here again. :)

The food is expensive. I ordered 2 Meat Combo, $25 plus $2.28 tax, total $27.28. It comes with a small piece of bread and 1 side. The portion is only good for 1 person. The payment system suggests tips 15% 18% 20%, total would be around $30 plus for 1 lunch 1 person. So, I left $2 in the tips jar, total roughly almost $30. The lady at the front desk, who was training the new girl seems not happy with my tips. I'm sorry lady, I feel the food is too expensive and I ordered to-go. No one served me. The lady probably was mad, she gave me my food togo without a bag or utensils, I had to get everything myself. The food was ok, not that special that I'd come back again. It's too expensive and the service is not that great in my opinion.

We tried rib, tri-tip, and pulled pork. We love them all, so impressed with tenderness. We chose coleslaw as the side and it’s very tasty as well. We will definitely go there again!!!

Mike's Backyard BBQ catered or son's wedding on 10/22/22. The food was outstanding the best ribs we ever had. His tri-tip and chicken were also very good. His wife's homemade potatoe salad was really good! Plenty of food, very classy set up. He brought his big bbq in to the venue early in the day and cooked it for our dinner. I highly recommend him. Sorry Mike, I forgot to take a picture!

I tried Mike's Backyard BBQ for the first time last weekend.I got the chicken plate to go. It came with 3 large pieces of chicken, beans, garlic bread and a pickle.When I opened the box, I found the pickle had a bite taken out of it. Also it was covered in black specs. That was weird and gross.The beans seemed to be from a can.One piece of chicken was underdone, and the other two pieces were overdone. It was edible, but not anything special.The garlic bread wasn't flavorful.There is better BBQ.
This is a must stop. The owners are the nicest people and the BBQ is so good you don't even need sauce to go with it...but Mike has his own BBQ sauces which were SOOOOO goooood.We tried his large family meal with an add of trip tip to sample everything. His ribs and tri tip are at the top of my best bbq tasted ever (and we eat a lot of bbq). So glad we found this amazing place and it will become a routine stop for us on our way to monterey from Sacramento.Kid-friendliness: Picnic tables with a big covered porch

Truth is, I wasn't that hungry. But I did get food envy when I saw a plate of barbecue go by.Oh my goodness. The tri-tip was out of this world.I don't want to over sell it but man it was good.We got a half pound with garlic, bread and pickles.It was the perfect snack.i usually have to pay twice as much to get food at this quality and portion size.They are located inside garlic world. Greg was very pleasant and answered my questions, and gave some good advice on the offerings and the sauces We enjoyed our food sitting at the tables in front of the garlic world store

Always drove by but never stopped. Glad we stopped this time. Ordered the tri tip sandwich and it came with beans, garlic bread and a pickle. The tri tip was tender and the bread was soft. I recommend giving it a try. We ate there on the picnic tables and tried the different bbq sauces he had. Very tasty.
