Sonic was my very first job when I was growing up, so I have nostalgia and higher expectations. I wasnt impressed.
Somewhere along the line, Sonic decided to focus on their drink menu. It was always big, but it seems now that is a soda shop instead of a drive in.
Speaking of drive in, we pulled up and hit the button. Waited for like 5 minutes then went to another spot. Same thing.
I dont know if they were broken, or the employees were too busy with their 5 customers that they weren't able to answer the buzz....either way, my wife had never been there, so naturally it ruined even the slightest experience.
Some of my favorite burgers and menu items were gone, but replaced with new ones.
The food was still tasty and the burgers were made fresh, but it wasn't worth driving out of our way to get to.
Ordered food. They didn’t give us all of it. Clicked the red button to try to call them back to get the rest of our order and they just never picked up

Blue Rasberry slushie! Am I right!?! LOL Also tried the Mozzarella sticks. Not bad. Would order again.
Get there after a long day, and they tell us to go through the drive-thru to order. So we did. We sit for a minute or two, saying hi into the speaker (that looks like it would be out of order) and heard no response. We figured we have to order at the window since no responded and sometimes some places will just have you pull up to order and pay and get your food at the same window. Worker comes out and asks us if we put an order in, we say no, then he tells us to go back to place our order. My friend didn't want to drive around so we got out to place an order at the kiosk in front. Can't order there, it has to be drive thru ONLY. It wasn't busy when we went. We weren't the only people to leave either. No food and just a waste of time.
We pulled up after a long road trip and were informed the “systems were down,” unfortunately after hours of hyping up the food to our passengers. Every time we try eating here it’s something with them where we have to go somewhere else. Lots of other good options nearby you can try!

Awesome place, great for shakes/drinks and hotdogs 🌭. Everything else is worth trying. Love the chilicheese tots! Add onions. 😃 they got mozzarella sticks! Fyi, alot of fast food restaurants are getting rid of the cheese sticks, sad. But Sonic has em! Love their ice.. mmmh 🤤 soft and crunchy. Carhop is nice or drive-thru. Staff is usually pretty busy but are professionally nice. They ride out in skates if ordered by car hop. Awesome iconic old-school feel.
2025 review: I don't live near so only can visit when passing through. Was sad to learn that they got rid of the Chicago dog 😢 They instead had an American dog which was mediocre at best 🫳🏽 The chili cheese 🧀 tots with 🧅 onions over it were delicious like always. I regret not trying the new smash 🍔 burger over the American dog. Drive thru line moved very slow and wrapped almost all the way around.
Service was still good. It is winter so didn't see any roller 🛼 blading but wasn't there to eat in the car 🚗. Still a treasure for getting away from your normal everyday fast food joints like mcdees n taco bell n all the other crap that's out there.

The food was good as usual but I was surprised we didn't get any napkins or ketchup (or even asked) while going through the drive-thru. We tried going to a stall but was told they were closed after 8 pm. Just FYI.
