Rating for location on 10th street. We went in 8 mins before closing to order tacos to go but they wouldn't serve us and were already counting the till and cleaning up for the night. I understand people want to go home but do your clean up AFTER the hours that you tell customers you will be open and available to serve food. Rude. We won't be back.

We have been to dinner here several times recently & the food is always good. Not sure why it took us so long to try but glad we finally did. We've had the guacamole which was excellent, different tacos, carnitas platter, chile relleno, etc. their margaritas are excellent too. We even have taken family visiting from out of town & they all loved it. Done night they gave Karaoki which was fun to watch. I think the only complaint I have is that they always seem to be out of pins coladas. Other than that everything is great. It's always very clean inside too.

I was in Gilroy for 2 days helping a friend do some remodeling to his rental house. We had lunch at Chapala twice, the first day just because we saw it and it looked inviting, the second time because we loved it. We had their 3 tacos combo, they were amazing! and that beef sauce is to die for! But the service is also really good from really nice people. I live in San Jose and will be going back with family as consistent good food and good service are worth the drive.

Giving this place 5 stars because the ambiance was so Much fun. We came on a Sunday for my moms birthday dinner in which they had a Dj and karaoke going on. (Dj and karaoke happens every Friday & Sunday evenings) Our waitress was nice and took our order pretty quickly. We ordered aguachiles as an appetizer which the flavor was ok, I've honestly have better. But the "mar y Tierra" molcajete was delicious! It had steak, chicken, chorizo,and bacon wrapped shrimp over cheesy beans and it's big enough for 2. If you have picky eaters, they have really good carne asada fries and other great options. Towards the end of our meal, the staff came out with sparklers and gave my mom a birthday margarita, as well as a desert. Such a fun experience that we will definitely be coming back. Muchas gracias por una gran experiencia!

overpriced for the quantity.... i was disappointed that my order of birria tacos came with only one singular taco, but the taste was good. the burrito was too dry and needed dressing.

Good Mexican spot in Gilroy! We come here often with our family. The service was slow last time we went. Nice ambiance and decor is cool. We got the super wet burritos, one asada and the other shrimp. So delicious!

The girl with the nose ring took our order incorrectly and then proceeded to charge us for food that she submitted to kitchen incorrectly. Brought out another shrimp tostada, originally I ordered with no onions and the incorrect one had no onions, however the shrimp was uncooked. I ordered a tostada Cammaron cocina- (cooked not raw) When she came back to check on us she offered my boyfriend more water and only refilled his water even though mine was empty. In the end when we asked why the original tostada was still on the bill she said " I would have removed it if it was my mistake." It was her mistake. I still left her rude self a $5 tip which she clearly did not deserve.

Stoped by to grab a drink but learned that they only have beer for alcoholic beverages. They do not have Paloma's or any liquor. I really like their aguachile and ceviche de camarón.

We had a great time at Chapala! Yummy food! Ice cold Victoria beer! The salsa verde is my favorite! Fresh chips... come on! Chili verde was on point! Perfectly cooked carne asada... we have been twice and will be back again. I love sitting outside.

Pupusas here 9/10 I had the bean and cheese and just a regular cheese, it's how I order em., horchata 10/10, quesabirria 9/10, Gilroy might be sleeping on this place. I came and wasn't busy, me and one other dude enjoying our food. He said he always gets the quesabirria here, as enjoyed a michelada.! Gave me chips and salsa while I waited and checked on me several times while I was here. Place is clean and I would say, give them a try. Cold beers, mix of different plates and sides.!!
